Disclaimer: The beautiful genius of Farscape belongs to its wonderful creator, Rockne S. O'Bannon, and all the lovely people involved with it including Nine Networks, Jim Henson Productions, Animal Logic, etc. If I was making money from writing this stuff, do you honestly think I would still be writing only fanfic? eJrHWg

He crouched down in front of her, his hand outstretched, his black flight suit telling her he was really leaving… "Come with me."
A heart-breaking request.
"I can't. We've gone through this before… we know it won't work." Her voice was strained, already holding back the tears she didn't want him to see… his soft blue eyes already telling her that he had.
"We can make it work." His desperate pleas futile… he knew exactly what would happen if she did come with him.
"I can't do it…"
And they both knew the truth behind those words.
He slowly pulled his hand back as he stood to his feet, swallowing down the lump that had formed in his throat, "Fine."
She turned her back to him, hurt flooding her eyes in the form of tears… they had talked this over many times before now, but the actual reality of their words were so much harder than they thought they would be.
He glanced over his shoulder at her briefly as he walked out of her quarters… this was much harder than he thought it would be…

Walking down one of Moya's many bronze corridors, he clutched the suit helmet in his hand tightly, his knuckles turning white… he didn't want to do this. Doubt and uncertainty began to flood his mind. Maybe he was right before… maybe Earth wasn't ready.
That didn't matter though…
Was he ready? That's what counted.
He tried to convince himself he was ready… that he had to go, for Earth and Humanity's sake.
Turning the corner into the maintenance bay and transport hanger, he paused. Every possibility, every outcome of going ran through his mind… as did every one of him staying…
Dropping his helmet to the ground, he spun around, racing back to her quarters. Skidding around the corners of the massive ships tiers, he couldn't seem to run fast enough, slipping at a junction as he tried to re-direct himself…
Running in the door, he found that she hadn't moved a dench from where she had been… still turned away from the door.
She didn't turn to face him when she heard him pound down the passageway and stop just inside of her room… she wasn't sure why he had come back.
His voice just above a whisper, he managed to utter her name, his voice saturated with emotion…
"Aeryn…"
She couldn't help but turn at the sound of his voice… ocean blue eyes meeting sky blue ones, both tear filled and sparkling, they spoke volumes to each other.
In one swift movement the crashed together in a tight embrace, not willing to let each other go in fear of reality dissolving and leaving them alone once more. Pulling back just enough to move his lips over hers, he held tight, kissing her softly and sweetly… of all that he couldn't leave behind, she was his world…
