This is my spoof of Papa Roach's "Blood Brothers" which can be heard
the Album "Infest" and on Tony Hawk Pro Skater 2. I don't own Papa roach
or any Texas settlers. P.S. The part I left out is the part of the chourus
that said
"Its in our nature to destroy ourselves,
Its in our nature to kill ourselves,
Its in our nature to kill each other,
ITS IN OUR NATURE TO KILL KILL KILL KILL KILL!
I did not include this because 1. It was tough to parody and 2. It was for a
school assignment. Coming soon another school asighnment a parody to the beatles
"Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds" about the cowboys. Enjoy.
Texas Brothers
Verse 1:
Spent all my savings to see something new
Where the grass is green and the sky is a peaceful blue
Tired of livin where the prices are steep
Gonna get me some acres for real cheap
Not gonna be troubled by endless strife
Goin to Texas getting me a new life
Taxes in the US are cutting me like a knife!
Chorus:
Its always sunny it doesn't snow
Out on the prairie huntin buffalo
Texas is a great place
It's where I want to go
Verse 2:
Grasslands and forest
Really pretty
Don't want my crops
Itty bitty
Build a log cabin
With a roof made of cross hatchy
Stay away from them Apache
And I just have to say
This is a nice spot to start a fam-a-ly
Chorus
Verse 3:
Beef, pork, and venison
Make you a strong man
All my clothes are my invention
They come from the land
Buckskin and leather
And things of that kind
No vegetables in this weather
They're kind of hard to find
And if huntins slow I got mustang in mind
Chorus
Verse 4:
No gambling no games of chance
Them kids play tag or learn to dance
The Women are making a quilt
To decorate a cabin that was just built
Stories were told
Maybe the occasional riddle
Southern bands would come
And fire up the old fiddle
Yeah after chores everything was hunky-dory
The kids would sit down and listen to a bible story
Chorus
Verse 5:
Being a kid then must have been real cool
For the most part they didn't have any school
But it was the bible they would all yearn
About being catholic everybody learned
A handful of kids went to school
But not too many, only a bit
They probably felt real cool
Cause the schools were private
Everyone pitched in the money to pay the teacher
She was probably as important as a preacher
And probably at least one was fired
Because they weren't Catholic and that's required
Chorus
Verse 6:
Stuff we be sellin we be transporteen
Send to Mexico or New Orleans
It's the green stuff that we gonna win
Tradin of cotton we get from da cotton gin
We always travel by boat of course
When that doesn't work we be riding the horse
Some times we ride in something without a tail
A covered wagon like in Oregon Trail
Pulled by cows that chewed their cud
We left there when it got stuck in the mud stuck in the mud
Chorus x2
Verse 7:
Some people here are white some like a fox
If people were crayons we got the whole friggin box
From up in Ireland where it snows
Got some people from Mexico
If Americas a mixing pot we're the griddle
If Americas a mixing pot we're right in the middle
Even got black people slaves what they're for
Though they'll stop being slaves at the end of the civil war
Chorus x3
