I just wish I had said...
~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~

"Ready to leave yet Rubeus?"

"Almost dad! Just gotta put a few more things in my bag, and don't call me that!, I like it when people call me Hagrid."

"Okay! But The Hogwarts Express leaves in an hour, you don't want to be late!"

"Finished! Can we go now dad?!"

"Hey! wait a second! Let me take a look at you!...This is the proudest moment of my life!
I just wish your mother was here to see you aswell!...she was a good woman. No matter what anybody says, you and your mother deserve to be treated with respect. Okay?"

"Yes dad."

Rubeus Hagrid, or rather known as just Hagrid, was no ordinary child.
He is what the wizarding community call a half giant.
Making one of his parents a giant, which in his case, his mother, and the other parent a muggle which in his family, is his father.
But having a giant related to you, is no real treat, as Hagrid had already experienced in his short life. A short life as a half giant is still long enough to be pointed at, laughed at and ridiculed.
Being accepted to Hogwarts School Of Witchcraft And Wizardry, had been the first time in Hagrid's life when he had felt he was being accepted to life.
So as you can imagine, a ten year old boy that is soon to be eleven, going to the place he had dreamed about many times would be fairly excited.

"Are we there yet?"

"Not Yet. Sit down while your in the nice mans taxi"

"Are we close to getting there?"

"Yes, close enough"

"How close is that dad?"

"Hagrid! Settle down, we'll be there soon!"

"Are you sure, we're taking a long time"

"Positive"

"Are you positively positive?"

"Hagrid!"

"Yes?!"

"Now you behave yourself, while you're at this school. But most of all, remember to have fun"

"All right. Bye dad!"

With that, Hagrid ran off to find a conpartment with people who possibly may have been future friends.

"Ah, well goodbye then, son"

His father replied to the spot where his son was standing moments before.

later that year ~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~

"If only I had said "I love yer" or "I'll miss yer" to my dad"

"I'm sure he knew that you loved him Hagrid"

"But s-not the same"

"Mr Dumbledore, you knew me dad, did'nt yer?"

"Yes, and when I did happen to meet him, he never stopped telling me how proud he was that he had had you for a son"

"Thankyou fer being here at the funeral Mr Dumbledore Sir, I hope that you'll be the one who takes over the principal job"

"It's all right Hagrid."
