Chapter 1: Irvine's Proposal

It had only been a few hours since Ultimecia, the evil sorceress who had been
hellbent on time compression, had fallen to a group of young SeeD's led by Squall
Leonhart. Everyone had got back from the time compression world safely and after
awhile, there was going to be a party at 2300 hours being hosted by Irvine and
Selphie.
"Hey Zell, I'm gonna go out to the ocean with Selphie for a few. If the
others need us, tell them that me and Selphie went into Balamb for awhile, ok?"
said Irvine as Selphie dragged him out of the room, smiling very widely at her
Irvy as they walked out the entrance of the Garden and towards the shores of the
Ocean. Irvine felt so happy as he walked with Selphie. It was like the day that
he had finally saw her again at Galbadia Garden after the tormenting years of not
being able to be near the only girl that he had first experienced love with, and
now that she was there, with him, during that year, he and Selphie had grown even
closer then ever. He took his hat off and put it on Selphie's head, and smiled.He
sighed and said, "God, you look so cute with that on. You can have that hat, I really
don't mind." smiling.
Selphie hugged Irvine tightly and leaned up, and they deeply kissed for a few.
Then Irvine picked up Selphie and held her close to him as he carried her the rest of
the way. When they got there, he layed her down softly on the sand and then layed down
behind her, and Selphie slid back into Irvine's lap and snuggled close to him. They had
came here one night, and was laying this very exact same spot as Irvine pour his heart
out to Selphie, and much to his surprize, Rinoa was hiding with Squall, videotaping
every single moment of when Irvine started to tell about the past. He also remembered
what he did to Quistis because of her trying to break him and Selphie up, ever since
they were little kids. Zell was at least supportive of it and he had helped Irvine get
a ring for Irvine, because of what he was going to ask Selphie this night. It had been
seven years since their first kiss and date, and they had grown so close that Irvine
gave Zell the money to go pick up an engagement ring for him, but made him promise to
keep quiet about it.
The sun had gone down and the moon had rose high into the sky. He smiled at Selphie
as they snuggled and he reached into his pocket and pulled the ring out of his pocket and
kept his hand shut as he smiled widely. "Selphie..", Irvine said very nervously. "Will you
marry me..?" Irvine then opened his hand and then slid a ring onto Selphie's finger.
