A Lost Love: Part 5
By: Abbie
Serena had been in the Black Forest now for about 5 months, and had
gotten
to know everyone very well. She had new friends, new family, and really
a
new life. The only thing she didn't have was a new boyfriend. She
couldn't
give up on Darien. She wouldn't give up on Darien. Almost every night
she
would sit in her window and look up at the stars, listening to her star

locket. Sometimes Gohan would watch her silently, but know one ever
heard
the whole story behind that locket, Serena refused to talk about it.
Although it had really started to get to her that she couldn't be
Sailor
Moon here, so why should she be the Moon Princess, or Darien's lover
any
more? But she just couldn't forget about Darien! She finally made up
her
mind. Since she knew that if she forgot about Sailor Moon, she would
forget
about Darien, so she had to become the legendary Sailor Moon again.
But
this time it had to be here. She figured she could just be a crime
fighter,
a lot like Super Sayin Man. But she found this to be the most logical
thing
to do, because she couldn't forget her mission.
***In the city***
"AHHHHHHHH!" a woman in the bank screamed bloody murder as a man in
black
got out a gun.
"Hand over the money and no one gets hurt!" he said sternly.
"Now everyone on the ground!" he demanded. The bank manager got to the

safes, and got out all the money and goods. The robber had a sneaky
smile
now.
"Hurry up! Give it to me!" he shouted.
"Not this time pal!" a shadowy figure stood in the door way.
"That's what you think!" he said as he grabbed the bag of money.
The figure in the doorway stepped forward into the light, and reveled
herself. It was a pretty young girl in a mini-skirt, with long blond
hair.
She raised her hand and stared doing different poses.
"I am Sailor Moon! You should be ashamed, stealing for these
defenseless
people like that! I stand for love and I stand for justice! And in the
name
of the Moon…I will punish you!" the mysterious warrior yelled. The
robber
snickered.
"Am I suppose to be afraid of a little girl in a mini-skirt? Really
kid,
move before I blow your brains out!" he said holding up the gun.
"If this is our hope of not getting killed, then I think we are done
for,"
whispered one of the bank workers to another.
"Not on my time bud! Moon…Tiara… Magic!" the girl took the tiara from
her
head and threw it at the robber. The robber stood and looked at it like
it
was a toy, and then knocked it away.
"That's it?" he snickered.
"You wish! Tiara, trap him!" she said as the tiara stopped in mid air
and
turned around.
"What?!" the tiara wrapped around the robber before he new what was
happening.
"You sneaky little…!" he yelled. He struggled with the tiara and
finally
got free.
"Epp! Not good!" the girl squealed as she jumped just in time to miss
the
bullet flying at her.
"I don't think so girly! Your not getting away that easy!" he yelled as
he
shot the gun again. The Sailor Moon was about to jump out of the way,
when
suddenly someone stepped in front of her.
"No!" she yelled, thinking that the person was shot.
"What do you think your doing? Picking on this poor girl! Well, I wont
stand
for it!" the man in front of her was fine. He had caught the bullet!
Then
Sailor Moon recognized the outfit. It was Super Sayin Man. She all the
sudden felt disappointed.
"Uh oh!" the robber yelled, for he knew this familiar face. He tried to
run,
but it was no use, for Super Sayin Man was too fast.
"Damn!" the robber said as he was caught.
"Your going to jail," Super Sayin Man said. All the people in the bank

started cheering for there hero.
After the police came and took the robber away, Super Sayin Man
approached
Sailor Moon.
"What are you doing? Are you trying to get yourself killed?" he said, a

little disappointment in his voice, a lot like a parent.
"I was doing fine, until you came along!" she yelled.
"Serena, this isn't Tokyo, and these aren't your 'Nega monsters.' This
is
really dangerous stuff," he said calmly.
"Don't you think I know that? I just had to be…needed again. Ya know
feel I
was special. I needed to become Sailor Moon, the legendary princess
warrior
again," she said back to him.
"But Serena…really, your gonna get hurt," he tried to rationalize the
situation.
"I fought and died as Sailor Moon, you don't think I didn't get hurt? I

don't care about getting hurt," she explained.
"Really though Serena, you don't need to be Sailor Moon here, there's
no
point in it," he tried to explain this, but it wasn't working.
"NO! I do need to be Sailor Moon! You don't understand! You'll never
understand!" at that Serena ran off crying, leaving Super Sayin Man to
stand
alone.
'He's right, I don't need to be Sailor Moon here. They don't need me,
when
they have him! But I just have to be Sailor Moon. Why can't he
understand
that?!' she thought to herself as she detarnsformed in an alley. Then
she
ran into the forest crying…
That night Serena didn't come home. Gohan was feeling extremely guilty
for
getting on to her like that. He was getting really worried too. He had
called all of Serena's friends and none of them knew where she was. He
even
called Trunks and Bulma, they hadn't seen her either. He finally
resorted
in calling his parents.
'Ring, ring' "Hello?" his mother picked up.
"Mom, have you seen Serena anywhere?" Gohan asked quickly.
"No, what's wrong? Is she missing?" Chichi asked with worry in her
voice.
"Yeah, she ran off today when we got into a fight," he said
remorsefully.
"What could you have said to make her run off like that?" Chichi
wondered.
"I'll tell you later, mom. Can you put dad on?" he asked.
"Sure sweety," she said as she put down the phone. A few moments later
Goku
picked it up again.
"Hello?" he said.
"Dad! Have you seen Serena?" Gohan asked in a frenzy.
"Hold on Gohan! What's wrong?" Goku said calmly.
"She's been missing since this afternoon, and she hasn't come home
yet,"
Gohan said.
"Well, where did you see her last?" Goku asked.
"I saw her at the bank, and we got in a fight and then she ran off
crying.
And she was running towards the forest," Gohan quickly explained.
"Oh man, I think I have seen her actually," Goku said.
"WHERE?!" Gohan yelled.
"I think today when I was in the forest training. I thought I heard
something near the stream, and I looked over there and there was
someone
sitting there washing some blood off there hands crying. I was gonna go
over
to who ever it was and help, but they left before I got there," Goku
said,
with concern.
"Oh my god, she was hurt! I didn't even know!" Gohan yelled.
"What happened anyway? I mean how did she get hurt?" Goku asked in
curiosity.
"I'll tell you later, right now meet me on the edge of the forest, near
the
stream," Gohan said quickly.
"OK," Goku agreed.
***At the stream***
"Gohan is that you?" Goku asked the shadowy figure.
"Yeah, it's me dad," he said as he switched on a flashlight.
"Now, show me where you saw her," Gohan got strait to the point.
"All right, follow me," Goku said walking into the forest.
"So what DID happen, Gohan?" Goku asked while they were walking.
"Well, she's got this crazy idea that she can be Sailor Moon here, and
fight
crime," he started.
"So, what's wrong with that?" Goku asked.
"She'll get hurt that's what! She doesn't know how to fight criminals,
she
only has her magic," Gohan lowered his tone after the first line.
"Oh," Goku replied.
"Let's just find her…" Gohan said.
"Good idea."
Once they got to the spot Goku had seen her…
"Was it here?" Gohan asked.
"Yep right here, I remember the big rock right there. That's where she
was
sitting," Goku said pointing to a big rock. Gohan went over to inspect
it.
"Oh shit, there are bloody hand prints all over this thing!" Gohan
punched
the rock and it broke into pieces.
"It's ok, we'll just split up and look for her, she couldn't be too
far…"
Goku suggested.
"Right, meet me back here in 30 minutes," Gohan said as he ran off in
one
direction.
Goku nodded and ran in the other direction.
They both searched the forest frantically for Serena.
"Serena? Serena?" Goku called out. He listened carefully for answer.
Nothing. Then he suddenly heard something in the tree above him. He
looked
up and saw a sleeping figure on one of the main tree branches. He flew
up
there and found it was Serena. He looked her over, and found that her
side
had been bleeding, there was a deep cut. But that was the only major
thing,
besides a few cuts, probably from the tree.
"you poor thing…" he said as he quietly picked her up and flew back to
the
creek to find Gohan. When he got there, Gohan was already waiting for
him.
"Thank god you found her!" he said with a huge sigh of relief.
"She exhausted, and she has a nasty cut on her side, it almost looks
like a
bullet wound, but the bullet missed a little," Goku said.
"Damn! I knew she hadn't jumped out of the way in time for that first
bullet!" Gohan said angrily.
"Bullet?" Goku asked.
"Never mind, thank you so much dad. But I need to get her home, so I'll
see
you tomorrow. Bye," Gohan waved goodbye as he flew off with the
sleeping
girl in his arms.
The next morning Serena woke up with an excruciating pain in her side.
"Ohhh…" she groaned as she sat up in her bed.
"Wait a minute. How did I get here?" Serena asked to herself, since she
was
alone in the room. But then Gohan walked in.
"Hey, you better lay back down. That side of yours is pretty bad," he
commented as he walked over to the bed and set a wet clothe and some
gauze
by the bed.
"Gohan?" Serena said as she lied back down.
"Yes?"
"I'm sorry, I didn't mean to be mean to you yesterday, and I'm sorry
for
being a burden on you like I have. I mean, you have been nothing but
nice
to me, and I haven't cared at all, I just dismiss it as if it were
something
that didn't matter. You always look out for me, you saved my life, two
times, and I have been just plain rude. But I did a lot of thinking
last
night…" Serena said stopping to think a little and take a breathe.
"Serena it's ok. I know exactly what you mean, and trust me, you
haven't
been rude, I've just been over protective. At first I could see that it
was
ok, because you were new and didn't know much about this place, but now
you
know and you don't have to be babied," Gohan replied.
"Thank you for trying to make it ok, but it's not. But any ways, like I
said
I did a lot of thinking last night, after our fight. And your right. I
don't
know how to fight criminals. I can only use stupid magic, but I don't
have
any brute strength, or courage…" Serena paused again.
"But Serena that's ok-," Gohan was cut off.
"But, I want to learn." Serena stopped to see Gohan's reaction, then
started
again, "See I was thinking you could train me and all, since you and
your
whole family are martial artists and ya know your really good, I just
wanna
be strong and, well, helpful in battles, and I wanna be Sailor Moon,
well,
no I have to be Sailor Moon, so, Gohan, train me," she said as she sat
up
and looked strait into Gohan's eyes.
"OK," he replied simply.
"Come on really-wait, did you say ok?" Serena wasn't expecting this
answer.
"Yes, I'll train you. But you have to be willing, and you have to stick
to
it. Cause once you start, I won't let you out," he said with a serious
look.
"I know, and I'm prepared," Serena said with a nod.
"This will be very severe training, I mean, if your not eating,
sleeping, or
in school, you'll be training with me (doesn't that sound familiar?)
And if
you don't like it, then you don't train," Gohan demanded, remembering
the
great training he got from Piccolo.
"Isn't that a little severe? I mean, I was thinking more along the
lines of
10 hours a week…" Serena reluctantly protested.
"If you don't want to train my way then you won't train at all," Gohan
sneered. He was actually being mean to her! Serena was surprised, but
delighted at his determination.
"OK, we'll do it your way," she agreed.
"All right, we'll start tomorrow, be up and dressed by 4:45 am," Gohan
said
as he got up and started to leave the room.
"OK…" Serena grumbled, very unpleased with the '4:45' part, but knowing
not
to protest, or he wouldn't let her train. After he left, Serena
decided to
take a nap, so she could get some sleep, before she had to wake up so
early
the next morning.
While Serena was sleeping Gohan decided to go and consult with his
father.
"Hey mom! Do you know where dad is?" Gohan popped in the door of the
Son
household.
"Oh! Hello Gohan, I didn't know you were coming over today," Chichi
said
turning from her pot on the stove.
"Yeah, well, I really just needed to talk to dad, do ya know where he
is?"
Gohan asked scanning the room for his father.
"Yeah, he's out back with Goten," Chichi said, returning to her stove.
Gohan walked out the door and around to the back. Goten and Goku were
sparing when he walked up.
"TIME OUT!" Gohan yelled gaining the attention of the two warriors.
"Oh, hey Gohan, what'd ya need?" Goku stopped attacking his other son
and
walked over to Gohan.
"I just wanted to talk to you about something. Is that OK? Or are you
too
busy?" Gohan asked, referring to him and his brother.
"Na that's OK, I was about to go inside and get a drink any way,"
Goten
answered for his father.
"Thanks," Gohan smiled at his brother as he went inside the house.
"So what was it you wanted to talk to me about?" Goku asked as he wiped
his
face with a towel and sat down on a tree stump.
"Well, I wanna know if I made the right decision…" Gohan said walking
over
to his father.
"About what?" Goku asked, taking a sip of water from a water bottle.
"Well, you know how Serena wants to be Sailor Moon, but she doesn't
know how
to fight…?" Gohan paused to make sure his father was following him
here.
Goku nodded.
"Well, she wants me to train her to fight, so that she can be Sailor
Moon
here," Gohan mumbled.
"I see, and you told her that you wouldn't?" Goku assumed.
"No, I told her I would," Gohan corrected. At this Goku almost spit
out his
water. Gohan was so protective with her, and now he was going to let
her
fight?
"I knew I shouldn't have!" Gohan yelled in response to his fathers
reaction.
"No! I think it's wonderful idea! I just thought you would be all mean
and
strict about this, I mean, ya know!" Goku countered.
"Well, I still don't know…" Gohan grunted.
"Son, really, I think this is good. Now you won't have to worry as much

about her, because you'll know that she can take care of herself," Goku
said
putting an arm around his son.
"Ya think so…?" Gohan said looking up to his father. Even though Gohan
was
taller he still looked up to his father. He loved him so much. He
always
had. And he always took his advise.
"Yes, I do," Goku replied.
"OK, I'll give it a try…" Gohan said as he stood from his seat next to
his
father.
"Good."
"Thanx a lot dad, it was really helpful talking to you!" Gohan waved
goodbye
and flew off.
"Chichi has had way to much influence on that child…" Goku muttered as
he
walked back to the house.
"I heard that!" Chichi yelled from the kitchen.
"How!?" Goku grumbled to himself.
"I heard that to!" Chichi yelled again.
'I swear! That woman is worse than Piccolo!' Goku thought.
"I heard that to!" Chichi screamed.
"WHAT?!?" Goku shook his head and tried to forget it.
