Red Rivers Die

By Kainen

My bosom, perfect and round,

My body, slim and tight,

My legs, long and slender,

My arms, lithe and smooth

*

My dress, sexy, long, and red. . .so red. . .

A far cry from what's inside

Blood of darker shades flow within my veins

My bones, grey and weak

*

I am black aren't I? . . .so black deep within

My arms, I see, thrust forward in front,

My skin turning a day's night

Crumpling. . .decaying. . .dying. . .

*

Dirt I now stand on,

Sod yet to be laid

My knees sink to the ground,

My hands twist to claws

*

Furiously, I dig to uncover what's beneath

A pale ghost of I laying at peace

Tears of blood run from death's eyes

Staining the earth with its vial substance

*

My hair, dull now,

Fall before my eyes

Blond. . .grey. . .black. . .

Gather in my hands

*

Bones crumple while skin peels

Soon I will be dust

Blown away from what I was,

Escaping my Shinra ties

*

Free of them, at peace I rest

Gleefully I know it's true,

I am the Scarlet Lady,

But I was the Scarlet Bitch
