I flew lower than the clouds yet a little bit lower than the ground. I had been injured by some poacher and my wings hurt. Eventually I collapsed and fell on the ground. When I had awoken, a girl was in front of me.
"Hello!" She spoke out to me. "Drink this. It will help your injuries." I was not sure whether to drink it or not. I looked around the room and learned that she was an ally, yet she looked like an enemy. I pushed myself up and started to drink the medicine. Finally, I got better.
"You remind me of the sky. Do you have a name?" She asked with a smile. I wanted to think of her as a friend so I spoke to her with my mind.
"My name is Sora. I had been injured but you helped me. I am grateful for what you have done." I told her.
"Hello Sora! My name is Split!"
Split was a cheerful and spunky girl yet she was very sentimental. She was always there for me. She protected me and I loved this girl. One day, we went to the forest and there were many flowers and insects. However, there were many animals. Split protected me from everyone of them. She was a great friend.
The next day, I had awaken and Split was nowhere in sight. I looked all over her house but there was no one there. She must have gone out. I searched for her and found her in a bar. She looked mad as I flew through the door. She couldn't see me. Two other girls were sitting with her, drinking alcohol. As I listened to their conversation, I learned their names. The one with a blindfold's name is Beatrix and the other with blonde hair was Quistis, Quisty for short. I found out that Split was mad and sad because she needed someone to love. I flew back with tear developing in my eyes. When I got home, I was crying. Then when I opened my eyes, my body was changing. I was becoming human. A human man.
I stopped crying knowing that it was not a manly thing to do. Now that I am human, I can tell Split how much I love her. And so I wait to see her silver eyes, to hear her lovely voice. I sat down and waited for the door to open. After a long time of waiting, the door finally opened. But as soon as it opened, my body was changing again. Into a bird. My usual self. I flew to her shoulder and I spoke to her.
"I had something to show you...but it disappeared..." I said.
"Awww, Sora! It's okay. Everything that disappears always appears again." She smiled at me.
I never forgot what she said that day. One day when it appears again, I will show her how much I love her. One day I will tell her the truth about me...and her.
