Author's Note: This is my first try at writing in first person.
Disclaimers: I don't own the character of Anubis, he belongs to the same people who own the Ronin Warriors.
Prologue: Remembrance
I looked into the golden orb of the staff with my teal eyes and listened to the sound
of jingling chimes, slowly very slowly all the memories flooded back to me as a wave of
remembrance.
"Anubis," I heard my mother say, "wake up dear you'll be late for knight training."
She finished, my mother had beautiful teal, cat-like eyes and black hair that was cut above
her shoulders. "Ok mother." I told her as she looked at me with a weary eye, debating on
whether or not to trust me. The training for knighthood in our village began when we
were 10. My mother smiled warmly at me and left, I crawled out of my nice warm bed and
got dressed. My small feet padded across the oak floor and I picked up my practice sword.
It was made out of wood but it hurt to get hit with it.
'I had a good childhood growing up.' I thought as the wind ruffled my long red
hair. I watched the young Ronin girl that was called Mia, and her young friend Yuli. 'He
reminds me of myself when I was young.'
"Anubis your father is home." my mother yelled to me. My father had red hair that
was beginning to gray slightly on the sides, a mustache that was red and deep blue eyes.
He was the captin of the village's army. I would take over the army when I was of age or
when my father died.
