Summary: Ken learns if one human can really be as stupid as Daisuke seems.

"Do I really have to?" Ken stared wide-eyed at his teacher. He liked helping people and all, but this went a little to far.
"It would only be twice a week Ken, and lots of people want help from the boy genius."
"They are detention students! How much do you want to bet they make fun of me for my hair or my clothing or something. One of them is going to try to beat me up!"
"How could they beat you up? You have a blackbelt."
"I said try. Then I'm going to have to hurt them defending myself. And it'll be your fault." Ken didn't want to use the Emperor part of his personality to deal with these no good students.
"Ken, you need community service to graduate, and it's either this or cleaning up medical waste on the highway."
"Well when you put it that way, I'll take the highway."
"Too late Ken, I already signed you up."
"-sigh- Just tell me what I have to do so I can get this over with."

Ken walked hesitantly through the other Digidestined's high school. He stood in front of the bathroom mirror trying feverishly to make his uniform look a little more 'cool'. He gave up reluctantly.
He walked slowly into the detention room. In the back, kids yelled and randomly threw paper airplanes. He saw a spit-wad hit his friend in the back of the head. One nervous volunteer kept tapping his pencil. He strolled over to the other horrified voluteers. The principal walked in and everything fell silent. Except for the tapping pencil.
"Stop it." The principal boomed. The pencil tapping immediately stopped. "Now, we have some voluteers here today from the accelerated school. Since you don't do your homework on your own, you are now going to have people helping you. These students are here to make sure your lives aren't total failures. Maybe they're genius will wear of on you." Some kid in the back started laughing. "Now I'll announce who you will be paired up with. First up - - Kosori Mesuki. You'll be helping Mari Moi. Toi Coneki - - Cody Nyguen. Ken Ichijouji - - Daisuke Motomiya. . . ." Ken stopped listening. He didn't really care about the people his unfortunate friends were paired up with. Ken couldn't be sure, but he thought he hadn't seen Daisuke at all that day, and certainly not in detention. But at least he wasn't stuck with some hostile person he didn't know. Ken was nervous about the challenge before him. Daisuke was not only a complete idiot, he was a slow learner and didn't care about anything but soccer. Ken knew the next three months were going to go by very slowly. He put his head on the desk.
