Flower Girl

(Author's Note: This is one of my less captivating poems, as I couldn't think of any words that rhymed well together. Oh well.)

I've seen you standing on the corner,
Dressed in your favourite pink,
I've seen the way they look at you,
And oh, the way they wink.

I met you once more in the Market,
Clinging to Cloud's arm,
You can't imagine the hate I felt,
If I could, I'd inflict you harm.

I acted like I was your friend,
We'd talk, we'd laugh, we'd cry,
But underneath my anger boiled,
I sometimes wished that you would die.

When you left us in the temple,
I felt such great relief,
But then Cloud decided to go after you,
You couldn't imagine my disbelief.

I saw you kneeling on the altar,
So calm and deep in prayer,
Then appeared the Angel of Death,
He looked to me like beauty fair.

His sword plunged through your body,
And I swear, I almost grinned,
Your blood gushed out, so deep and red,
For this moment, I would have sinned.

I realize what I have lost,
Now that you're dead and gone,
A good friend is just what you were,
Your skin is now so pale and wan.

I should have understood before,
Just what you meant to me,
The only one who understood,
My guiding light who helped me see.

(Author's Note:*sobbing* What a piece of crap that was!!!! Waaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhh!!!!!!! Please don't flame me! And just because this poem sucks doesn't mean my other poems do. Okay??? So review already!!!!! Oh yeah, and Tifa is not in love with Aeris in this poem, just for the record. It's just describes what Tifa's "friendship" with Aeris was like. Sephiroth+Aeris forever!!!!!!)
