My Family
By Worthy AKA Cybra
A/N: Well, watching mostly anime and SWAT Kats has finally warped my mind. This is the first of two "image songs" I wrote. Okay, I kinda got the idea when I was thinking about how SWAT Kats was animated in Japan and how all Japanese anime have these little songs to go along with the show. I thought it'd be kinda cool if the SWAT Kats had their own image songs, and this is what came out of it. If this was a real image song from a Japanese anime, it'd probably be called something like "Mai Katei ~T-Bone no Theme~" meaning "My Family ~T-Bone's Theme~". Shutting up now.
Disclaimer: Don't own SWAT Kats. Wish I did. Now read. ^^
You're more like my family
Than my family really was.
You're my friend, but something more.
You're my brother because
You're with me all the way
Ev'ry moment, ev'ry day.
And the bond between us
Just keeps getting stronger.
~@~
And I'll protect you with my life
All through the day and through the night
Even though you may not ask me to.
Despite the vow I made
'Bout how the city's the first I'd save,
I'd make sure I had saved you, too.
~@~
I don't know what I'd do
If I lost the only family
I have ever known.
So I'll protect – today and tomorrow, too –
The home in which we live not just for her
But also, my brother, for you.
~@~
When we two are separated,
When we are each alone,
Fears rise within me that I can't stop.
But once we reunite,
Those fears flee out of mind and sight,
And I'm ready to make villains' plans go wrong!
~@~
I don't know what I'd do
If I lost the only family
I have ever known.
So I'll protect – today and tomorrow, too –
The home in which we live not just for her
But also, my brother, for you.
~@~
My friend, don't forget what I tell you here!
You're the family I wanted for so many years!
~@~
And if you ever feel it's not worth the fight,
The darkness is swallowing your hope's light,
Don't give up!
I'll always be right here!
~@~
I don't know what I'd do
If I lost the only family
I have ever known.
So I'll protect – today and tomorrow, too –
The home in which we live not just for her
But also, my brother, for you.
