*~*~*
"Phillip! You're not the only one in the house that needs to use the bathroom!"
"Wait a minute!"
Amanda Stetson heard her husband laugh beside her. "What happened to waking up to the birds chirping?"
Amanda laughed too. Her boys could be loud when getting ready for school.
"Hurry up!"
"Just give me five more minutes."
"Thats what you said five minutes ago."
"Will you please stop!?" Dotty called from her bed room.
"Sorry Grandma!" Came the repsonse from both boys.
Lee chuckled. "She has a way with them."
Amanda glanced at the clock. It read seven forty-five. "Phillip! You have an appointment with the dentist at eight!" she called.
"I'm almost done!"
Lee smiled. He pulled his wife closer to him. "That boy has a problem getting anywhere on time."
"Like somebody else I know," she teased. "You were supposed to meet with Leatherneck ten minutes ago."
Just then they heard a scream from the hallway. Both of them jumped up. Amanda threw on her robe, and Lee pulled on a pair of pants. They ran out in the hallway. Jamie pointed at the door. Lee tried the knob, and when it didn't work, he kicked the door open. "Phillip?"
Amanda was right behind him. But neither one of them was prepared for what they saw.
Phillip King's hair was a nasty shade of green.
Jamie was right behind them, and he busted out laughing. Amanda had trouble fighting a smile. Lee was trying unsuccessfully not to laugh, and ended up letting out a large snort instead. Jamie laughed harder, and even Amanda giggled.
"It's NOT funny!" Phillip screamed.
Amanda let out a small chuckle. "No, of course not honey.
Dotty came out of her room. "What's going on here?"
The five of them stood staring at Dotty for a minute. Jamie giggled. "Grandma, did you switch shampoos by any chance?"
"Oh Yes!" Dotty said. "There was a man selling it yesterday. It works like a charm! My hair feels so soft! I have the man's phone number, I'm going to call and order some more."
"Um, Dotty," Lee started. "Did you look in the mirror last night after your shower?"
"No. Why do you ask?"
Lee started to laugh softly, and Jamie was trying not to giggle, and it gave him a case of the hiccups. Phillip came out, and Dotty screamed. "Phillip Joseph King! Your hair is green!"
"So is yours, Grandma."
"What?"
Dotty ran back to her room, and another scream filed the house. "AMANDA!"
Lee and Jamie laughed. Amanda elbowed her husband. "Lee!"
"I'm sorry Amanda-" he erupted into another fit of laughter, and Amanda joined him. The three of them got glares from Dotty and Phillip.
After three hours of scrubbing, they still couldn't get the dye out of Dotty or Phillip's hair. They decided it was just going to have to fade with time.
Amanda picked up the bottle of shampoo. Lee looked at her. "What?"
She looked back at Lee. "Hmm?"
"Amanda Stetson, you have that look in your eye."
"Oh, I was just thinking that Francine's birthday is coming up," she tossed the bottle into the air and caught it. Lee's eyes got wide. "You wouldn't!"
Amanda grinned.
