SHOOP SHOOP
What kinda gal stays home on a Friday night cleanin` her room? An untouchable one, that's who! Rogue thought bitterly, picking up the framed photograph of Gambit taken during their skiing trip last year. As she gazed at it an old song by Betty Everett came on over the small radio next to her bed.
``Does he love me*
I wanna know...
How can I tell if he loves me so*``
Dropping the rag she'd been dusting with, Rogue walzed over to the radio and turned it up. She began to dance and sing to the beloved photo with the classic song.
``Woo-o-o hug him and squeeze him tight, find out what`cha wanna knooow. If it's love, if it really is- it's there in his kiss!!!`` She spun around, hearing a soft noise at her open doorway. ``Oh! `` She exclaimed, nearly dropping the picture.
``If I'd known ya wanted ta dance, chere, I'd have asked.`` Gambit commented with an easy grin.
``Ah was, um, cleanin` up...`` She explained feebly. ``What are you doin` here* She asked. ``Ah mean... Ah thought ya`ll had gone out.``
``Gambit decided on a quiet evenin` at home. What `bout you*
Weren't you goin` out wit` de kids to de fair* Don` tell me you were gonna stay in, too*``
``Yeah, Ah`m stayin` in.`` Rogue sighed.
``Bout you an` I head over to de fair. Eat a lil` junk, take a few rides? `` He suggested. Seeing the negative answer in her dark eyes, he coaxed, ``come on, petite, it'll make Gambit real happy...``
Wait for me downstairs. Ah`ve gotta get dressed.``
She said. He left, lightly closing the door. The song was nearly done by then. ``Guess Ah'll never know, eh* She said to herself sadly, turning off the radio. Smiling, she thought of spending the entire evening with Gambit.
``What ta wear...``?
