SUMMARY: Spike has a new experience.
NOTES: This is in response to Cat's challenge to write a seven sentence or less story about Spike and Buffy.
DEDICATION: To Maggie and Trish for their support. Also to my nieces Brittany and Nicole for reading everything I've written about Spike and Buffy, and to my five year old niece Marissa for saying "Spike's cute" all the time.
Today, I was in direct sunlight for the first time in over 120 years and I didn't burn. See, the sun came into my bloody, dark crypt today and lightened up my gloomy unlife for a few short moments that will last me an eternity, even if there are no more such moments to come.
I was sleeping on the stone coffin lid (not the most cozy place for a rest, but.. you do what ya gotta do), when the sound of the door being slammed against the wall startled me awake. I prepared to be knocked up against the nearest pillar or wall when I saw who it was (don't get me wrong, I like violence in a woman), but she calmly walked over to me and stood there for awhile.
I braced myself for what was to come..she doesn't generally have anything pleasant to say to me, so I knew it would be an insult or some other such thing, so I was thrown for a BLOODY LOOP by what she actually said!
"Spike, I just wanted you to know that...well, even though you chained me up...I feel that...I don't know how to say this..other than..to..just say..that...I think...I do..FEEL...something for you."
With that, she turned around and left, but it was enough for me to realize my dreams were coming true because she gave me a crumb, she gave me a single crumb, and with that single crumb, she gave me the bloody SUN!
