It's only 11am. I only woke up barely 5 hours ago, but I'm really tired.
Usually I'm fine by math. But I guess today it wasn't ok. It was also the fact
that my best friend, Amanda, has ditched me for her boyfriend. Last night I
called her to see if she wanted to go to the mall. Her answer? "No, I'm going
to a movie with Duo." I sleepily turned to lok at her. She was staring at the
back of Duo's head. Can't she leave him alone? I sighed and turned back. But
as I moved, I noticed someone I felt like I've known forever but barely have
noticed lately...Heero Yuy. And for the first time today, I wasn't tired anymore.
I smiled and waited for the bell to ring. When it did, I walked quickly over to Amanda.
"Hey Sara? What's up?"
"Oh nothing, I was just wondering--" And then Heero walked by me and over to Duo. Amanda
stared at me then laughed.
"Now you're the one blushing!" She leaned into me. "So you have a crush on Heero? That's
great! I'll tell Duo and he might be able to hook you two up!" She winked, grabbed Duo
and walked off whispering to him.
That night, the phone rang. My mom answered it. She said it was for me. Hoping it was Amanda,
I immediately picked it up. "Hello?" I said.
"Hi, Sara. This is Heero. Duo told me to call you. He said I should invite you over and not
bother with pacifism freaks. Unless you're one."
"Pacifism? Well, uh, no."
"Relena," he said. "Don't listen to her. Anyway, would you like to come over? I live across
the street from Duo." And Duo lives next to Amanda and I'm across the street and 3 houses down
from Amanda! I love thinking like that. "There are 3 houses in between us." I said. "I'll be right
over."
"K. See you." We hung up and I went downstairs.
"Who was that?" my mom asked.
"A guy from my math class. Heero Yuy. Needed some help. Hey I'm going over to Amanda's. Wait better
call her first." I ran back up to my room and dialed her number. "Hey Amanda there?"
"Sara! It's me you dummy."
"I was kidding! Anyway, I'm going over to Heero's and my mom thinks I'm going to your house. Cover for me?"
"Sure thing. Duo's here. When your mom calls, Duo can call Heero and she won't ever know. Good luck, have
fun, bye."
"Thanks, bye." I ran back down the stairs grabbed my jacket and walked out the door.
