Digimon: Aftermath
By story teller
"He didn't deserve this," though TK. As he was looking over a grave that was made for his lost friend.
The grave that he was standing over was the leader of the Digidestened, Davis. He was sent a distress message from the digital world. None of the other Digidestened had been available to answer it and accompany him on the mission. So he and Veemon went into the digitalworld to solve the problem.
"I received the distress call from Davis after an hour or so," said a voice. TK turned around to see Cody walking up behind him. "It said that Davis and Veemon were out numbered and that they needed help. I emailed everyone that was available. I told the others that I would go and see what I could do," he stated, "But when I tried to open the gate, it would recognize my D-3. I tried several times but I couldn't get into the digital world."
" Its not your fault, Cody, there was nothing you could do," said TK, " Davis would have wanted it this way, he went down fighting like a hero, him and Veemon."
" Even though he was a jerk some times, he could be a real friend," a female voice stated. Cody and TK turned around to see Yolie, " I will miss him. From the many times he tried to score with Kari to the time he was a true friend, I will miss them all," weeped Yolie. Cody ran to her and put his arms around her to try to comfort her in this grief stricken state.
"I will miss him to Yolie. I still can't get over the fact that he could never get my name right. I wouldn't care what he would call me just as long as he was still here," TK told the trio.
" I could have been a little nicer to him. After all, he wasn't all that bad," a voice said behind the three friends. It was Kari, but out of all of the Digidestened, she was in the worst shape of them all. For some reason when she tried to enter the digitalworld, a surge of energy hit her with a tremendous force, knocking her back to the wall. She was on crutches with a sprained ankle. " He was just so, forgiving, he never held a grudge against anybody, well maybe TK."
"I never knew what a friend was like," said a voice from the small crowd. It was Ken. " I was the digimon emperor once. I did terrible things to digimon and to you guys as well. But he still forgave me and welcomed me to be his friend."
"He was a true friend, true to the end. For that reason, I still never forget him."
"This has never happened before, none of your digidestened have ever been killed in battle. Why was it Davis?" a very older and familiar voice came from behind them. It was Tai, the ordinal leader of the Digidestened. But it wasn't just Tai. All of the old Digidestened decided to pay their respects to their fallen comrade.
All of the Digidestened began to walk away from the grave. The grave will keep their former leader safe and sound, for now and all of eternity.
