I don't own any of the X-Men, although, I wish I did.
I have no idea who is talking, or who they're talking to, this came to me while I was riding the bus to work.
"Yes, it sucks being a Mutant, and it's dangerous. The whole damn world fears us. Hates us. Would kill us--or worse--given half a chance. But what are you complaining about? We're the lucky ones. We can pass foe human if we want to. We can go outside. If Hank tried to go aboveground without his holo-image inducer, he'd get more than one hole shot in that beautiful blue hide of his. The same goes foe Kurt, or Warren. Leeka. Dicey. Cale. Hell, three quarters of the people here! I mean, think about Tally. She was BORN underground. She's never felt fresh mown grass under her bare feet, she's never flown a kite. Never had a chance to play in the snow, climb a tree, splash through a creek looking for rocks to skip. She's never been to the ocean. The mountains. The country. She's never been on an airplane. All the things we took for granted as kids, she's never seen or done, and she probably never will. At least not before she's too old to enjoy them. So I say a two-week confinement for our own safety is nothing in comparison. C'mon, let's go con Remy into teaching us some new tricks."
