Title: Foever (Full)
Rating: PG (only because it's slightly slashy)
Summary: Aeryn and Gilina. That's all that can be said.
Spoilers: Umm... Sorta PK Tech Girl, Nerve, and Hidden Memory
Feedback: Please. I can't get enough.
Disclaimer: I wish I could say these characters are mine.... Well, I could, but that would infringe on copyrights and get me in lots of trouble. So, these characters do not belong to me, they never have, but I hope that some day, they will. At the moment, however, they belong to Jim Henson Productions, the SciFi Channel, Nine Networks, and Hallmark Entertainment. I'm not getting anything from this story besides the enjoyment of writing it and, hopefully, other people's enjoyment when they read it. Even though the characters don't belong to me, the story does. © Rehanna, 1999-2001
A/N: This is the full version of "Forver". I wrote this, then I cut things, until I got it down to that one (actually, there's another version that's exactly 55 words, but I haven't the faintest idea what happened to it). I really suggest you read that one first, but it doesn't matter.

Aeryn sat on the edge of the bed, watching her lover sleep. The whisper of breath, the sigh of the sheets, the peace of the moment was sheer beauty to her.
After a while, Aeryn lost track of how long, the other woke and smiled at her presence.
"Aeryn," Gilina said quietly. It still amazed her how much emotion the girl could put in her name.
"We thought we were going to lose you," she replied. Translation, she thought, I thought I was going to lose you. The two women might have held different positions, might have different views on their lives now, but that didn't change all the times they'd found comfort together.
They sat in silence, watching each other, trying to avoid the other's gaze, but eyes meeting anyway.
Finally, Gilina spoke, 'If.. if it hadn't been for Crichton--' she began slowly, only to have Aeryn interrupt.
"Yes," came the reply. "Yes," she said again. "Always."
"I loved you first, you know."
"I know." It was Aeryn's turn to be self-conscious, "Do you still?"
"Forever." Aeryn saw the honesty in Gilina's eyes.
Aeryn leaned down to kiss her in the same instant Zhaan felt was a good time to enter the room. She didn't seem to notice the abortive gesture as she said, "It's nice to see you again, Gilina." Pause. "I commed John, he's on his way down."
Aeryn stood and walked to the door, her only comment, "I'll come back later."
         Catching Gilina's nod, she left.
Less than an arn later, Aeryn learned that the sight of the second person she had loved, a quick, furtive nod, would be her last.
