One tranquil day in the Hylian countryside, the young boy clad in green known as Link was out for a walk on his own through the peaceful landscape. Two days had passed since he defeated Majora's Mask and saved Termina from the apocalypse; which had been quite the daunting task for the hero. With that behind him, the young Hylian needed to relax before he continued trying to find Navi.

Link sat down by a tree, gazing up at the bright blue sky and deep in his thoughts, thinking of everything that had happened. So many memories, so much he'd gone through.

His bond with Navi was unbreakable, they'd formed such a strong connection that was still there, even after the fairy had left him in the Temple of Time after they had returned from the future. She was out there, somewhere in the unknown, and Link would see her again one day.

Navi wasn't gone, she wasn't dead, most fairies were immortal.

'Gee...' Link thought after a long period of relaxing silence, 'It sure is boring here today. No monsters to fight, the world's a little too peaceful, especially for a hero.'

He shook his head, what was he thinking, why would he develop such a mindset? Warriors strived for peace, even during battle, they fought hard for peace and Link had fought to restore peace to the land of Hyrule as well as Termina. He deserved this peace, however, there was more to this thinking.

Link was probably thinking about training, preparing for his next adventure, and his next battle.

The green-clad hero stood up and adjusted the skirt of his tunic, yawning and stretching a little. Perhaps this was a good time to get some training done and maybe exercise, have a bit of fun. He was still a young boy; even after he'd spent seven years in the Sacred Realm and after returning from the future as a man in a youth's body.

And of course, everyone needed some fun in their lives, it wouldn't do well to get bored. Link thought of how and where to start, he was alone in the countryside with nobody to bother him.

The green-clad youth was struck by a thought. He did a little jog, curled over and did a cartwheel, standing on his hands for a minute, then he sprang back onto his boot-clad feet. Link grinned; now that was fun. He was very flexible; he hadn't done any fun non-battle gymnastics in a while.

Link then bent over, hands on the ground and pushed his feet up in the air, doing a handstand. He stood upon his hands, maintaining balance even while gravity pushed him down. Link wobbled a little, struggling to keep his balance. He flexed his leg, bent a knee and wiggled his little legs around.

'I wonder if the women would like this.' Link thought.

And for a minute, he imagined himself in a grassy field in Termina, doing a handstand while the Rosa Sisters watched. He imagined the dancers complimenting him, egging him on, wanting more from him. He had so much fun dancing with them; especially when he used that dancer's mask.

Then he started to imagine Zelda watching him, he could even hear the young princess giggling at the sight of the fairy boy doing handstands in the castle courtyard, and with nobody else watching.

Link's mind snapped back into the realm of reality, nobody was here to see him and the hero had no companions by his side. The only one who could see him was Epona and she didn't even count as a person, but the horse was still a living creature though and the lives of animals mattered just as much as human and humanoid lives did.

His shoulders wobbled a bit, Link breathed nervously and kept focus, his hands grasping the soft ground in the blades of the lush green grass. He moved one arm, flexing his right and doing a handstand on one hand. Then he moved his hand back down, returning to a normal handstand.

A few more minutes passed, the Hero soon flipped back onto his feet and did another cartwheel, finishing his handstand. Then he did some jumping jacks, moving his arms and legs outward every time he jumped up and down.

Quietly, without a word, Link exercised and did a few acrobatics. Then he drew his sword and ran around, swinging his blade, cutting at bushes. He chopped at a few trees, slicing them down and finding a few Rupees in the leaves. He then stood in place, slicing the air with his weapon, practicing his swordplay without having to worry about hurting anyone even if it was all by accident.

Link exercised a bit longer, then he sheathed his weapon, did another cartwheel and sat down, laying by a tall oak tree. He gazed up at the sky and closed his eyes, breathing in the fresh air and enjoying some peace and quiet...

The End
