Yo! Guys what's up KartUzumaki here with a new story and this one is basically about a 'Jinchuriki' Jon to a modern-day man a genius really and he helps Jon come to terms with his status as a bastard and helped him realize that there is so much more to life than just the Wall and being a 'stain' on Ned Stark's honor while also helping him revolutionise the North.
He couldn't believe it, all this time he thought that his family loved him, that even though the Lady of the house didn't like or love him, at the very least the rest of his family loved and cared for him but now to find out that his father and brother (his best friend) didn't like him at all, that hurt him more than anything cause they were his family the only thing that was keeping him there in Winterfell but now there was nothing for him there.
10 Year Jon Snow looked at the closed gates and high walls of Winterfell having escaped during the guards' shift change, it had been hard coming to a decision to leave the safety of Winterfell but hearing what his father said to Robb, Lady Stark, Sansa and Theon of all people, it made the coming to this decision a little bit easier than he thought but he will miss his younger siblings Arya and Bran but it is time for him to leave. He turned and looked for one last time at the home that he had ever known then turned to face the road with a look of determination on his face." Well there is no turning back now Jon." said a voice in his head.
Now, don't go jumping the gun and start thinking that the kid is crazy what with hearing voices in his head, you see a couple of years back Jon found a wolf totem that was somehow a soul of a business/engineer man from another more advanced world from what he had told Jon over the past couple of years alongside teaching him most if not all of the things that the man knew and it help Jon realize that the North was behind in so many ways compared to the rest of the Seven Kingdoms.
And Jon had tried on multiple occasions to show Lord Stark some of his ideas to improve the North but he never listened nor took anything that Jon said seriously and now he knew why.
'Well, I guess there is no use crying over spilled milk, Jon thought as he kept moving forward in the darkness of the night.
"So where to now Winston," he asked out loud as he adjusted the bag over his shoulder that had all of his belongings.
"Well, we can't stay in Wintertown since we would be easily found, as is the next town over and there is also the fact that we took those 20 gold dragon coins from that volt but I don't think we have to worry about that since from the look of it it had been there for quite a long time without being touched most likely forgotten by your Stark family. So we that going for us." Winston summed up their situation
"So Braavos then?" Jon asked as Winston hummed in his head and taking that as agreement, Jon turned towards White Harbor.
It took him a month to get there, a week to find a ship that was going to Braavos, and a day to convince the captain of the said ship to allow him passage on his ship and the fact that he had done all of this while hiding from the guards, who he had found out from the inn he was staying in that they were looking for their Lord's bastard son which is to say him causing Jon to be extra careful around the harbor but the good news was that he was to leave on the morrow, now all he has to do is to stay hidden until it is time leave.
Line Break
It has been two months since Jon left Winterfell and to say that it has been an experience was quite the way to explain it as it had different results on the rest of his family. Well, Catelyn was very happy and Theon as well, and Cat because she doesn't have to look at Jon and worry about him taking Robb's place as the future Lord of Winterfell and Warden of the North not that Ned or the Lord of the North would ever let that happen and Jon himself would never take Robb place he loves him to much.
Then there is Theon who to Ned is both happy and sad at the same time, happy cause now he has all of Robb's attention and sad that Robb has taken over Jon's past time of brooding which worried Ned the most. And Sansa well she is Sansa she acts like she doesn't recognize that Jon is gone.
And then there is Arya and Bran who while young were the closest to Jon well more Arya than Bran since he is still very young to understand what is happening but from what he has seen, he seems to notice that something is wrong but he just doesn't know what that is, now as for Arya she hasn't been able to stop crying ever since she found out that Jon left wondering if she was the cause of it and he had a very hard time convincing her that it wasn't her fault, eventually he did but that also came with the assumption that If it wasn't her fault then it must have been his, Catelyn's or Sansa fault which caused a lot of problems for him that he was not ready to deal with as of yet but knew that he will just not yet.
And then there is Benjen who had returned from the wall a week after Jon had left and to say that he was angry was an understatement he beat him to a bloody pulp and continuously accused him of losing their only legacy and connection of their sister Lyanna all for a Southern wife who didn't even belong in the North let alone Winterfell, of course, all of this took place in the privacy of his office but it does not mean that they were quite and Benjen soon left after their fight saying that if he were to say here any longer than he would turn into a kinslayer for he would have killed him for what happened it was just unfortunate that Benjen couldn't go looking for Jon himself since he had taken his vows as a brother of the Night's Watch and that is what killed him the most the fact that he couldn't do anything to find Jon.
So now here he is sitting in the Winterfell crypt looking at the grave of his family, his father Rickard he can practically feel the disappointment rolling of his statue as if he were alive right now looking at him like he was the biggest disappointment, and shame to House Stark for allowing what happened to his grandson, the same could be said about his mother's statue but slightly worse than his father, his brother Brandon looking at him like he betrayed the family and is worse than dirt for allowing what happened to happened and for looking the other way whenever Catelyn mistreated Jon (though to be truthful with himself he never should ever allowed that to happen in the first place, he should have stopped it the first time it happened) and than there is his sister Lyanna, Jon's mother there was so much anger, rage and hatred rolling off her statue that he was having a hard time even standing infront of it, tears trailed down his face as he went down on his knees looking at the statues of his family in front of him.
"I'm so sorry, I'm so sorry, I'm so sorry," he said repeatedly as he openly cried for his failure to protect his nephew.
Line Break
It took a while for Jon to get his sea legs as they say but once he did, woke up that morning and went straight to the captain and asked what he could do to help out on the ship, at first the captain thought he was joking and he did laugh at but stopped when he saw that Jon was serious about it he then called the first mate and told him to put him to work the same thing happened with the first mate he laughed at that but stopped when he saw that they were both serious, so did exactly that and put Jon to work.
To say that the captain and first mate were both impressed with Jon was an understatement, the boy took everything they told him to do without complaining and did it perfectly it was so much so that the rest of the crew took a liking to him and started to teach him how to do their work like how to tie knots to make sure that the sales of stay on the mast of the ship, it went like that until the first mate decided that he would teach Jon something of his job as well even the captain joined in to show him somethings on how to sale a ship and how to navigate at night using only the stars. Jon picked up everything they taught him quite fast till on the second to last week of their journey the captain decided that he was to take command of the ship which led to the men calling the man to call him little captain which took with a laugh. It took a day to get used to commanding people but he quickly got used to it and was very good at it, and he impressed the captain, first mate, and all of the crew.
As they got to Braavos (after giving command of the ship back to the captain) Jon was amazed to see the giant statue of the Titan of Braavos and when it was explained to him that the Titan stands there to protect Braavos and her people that if some nation was foolish enough to attack them.
The ship docked and Jon thanked the captain and the crew for allowing him on board their ship then asked for directions to the Ironbank which they gave with a laugh as he got off the ship they told him that he can ride with them at any time to anywhere, Jon waved goodbye to them as he went to the Ironbank following the directions given to him.
"Well we are certainly not in Kansas anymore Jon," said Winston as he watched through Jon's eyes, and how Braavos was so different from the North.
"What's a Kansas?" Jon asked confused by that word.
"Well, Kansas is a place in a book I once read where Dorothy comes from and..." before he could continue, Jon interrupted him.
"Wait who is Dorothy and what book," he asked suddenly intrigued about the book and story that Winston had just mentioned.
But before he could tell Jon about it he stopped as he looked at the building in front of them, for they were at the front door of the Ironbank, Jon raised his hand about to knock on the door when it was opened to reveal two making their way outside.
One had the build of a large Northern middle-aged man, he was swarthy and hairy
and had blonde-brown hair, blue eyes, and an overall gruff appearance but a good portion of hair on his head, although his hair does recede slightly. He was wearing a white shirt with brown leather pants that were covered by a black cloak that was a pin that had a standing white snow bear.
The second one is a tall, stick of a man with long legs and a gaunt face with a thin rope of a beard growing from his chin that hangs down to his waist. He wears expensive robes of a sober dark purple color, trimmed with ermine fur.
"Lord Jorah Mormont..."
