"That was our last of the rations, General." Trapper reports, Obi-Wan nods solemnly. "When do you think they'll find us?"

"I honestly don't know, Trapper, but they'll come." Even if it is just to find our bodies, Obi-Wan leaves the sentence unspoken but Trapper hears the words all the same.

"I'll take first watch." Trapper states and Obi-Wan is about to object but Trapper interrupts him. "With all due respect, Sir, you look horrible, and you're injured, you need to rest. You have a broken leg and a fever." Trappers says then positions himself by the open door of the currently crashed ship they are using as shelter from the raging storm outside.

It's a few hours later and the storm is not getting any better, in fact, it's gotten worse. The thunder strikes and in his fever dream, it makes Obi-Wan toss and turn on his makeshift bed frighteningly. Trapper doesn't know how long they can survive without food or medical attention for the General. He had already lost his five vod due to the crash, his General helped him dig the graves even though his leg was a nasty thing at the time, it had only gotten worse. His leg is now black, stricken by infection, now his General has a fever and there's nothing he can do about it.

He was made to protect his General. But he was trained to protect him from droids and threats with the ways of killing them. Now he's here helpless with his dying General, unable to do anything about it except just wait, and he's not sure if it means waiting for rescue anymore.

It's a few days later but he doesn't know anymore, he can't keep track as he feels his body slowly dying with the lack of nourishment. Trapper looks at his General and knows today is his last day, for the both of them. His General looks over at him sadly and pats the spot on the makeshift bed next to him. Trapper gets up from his spot and lies with his General, he's too exhausted to do anything but that. The men both seek comfort in the other, as they slowly pass on.

"What happens when we die?" Trapper questions.

"We join the Force; I assume you'll be reunited with your brothers." Obi-Wan replies.

"Will I get to see you too?" Trapper asks.

"Of course. I'll find you and your brothers. We'll have a nice reunion." Obi-Wan tiredly says.

"Will you be reunited with anyone?" Trapper inquires and Obi-Wan immediately thinks of his Duchess.

"I'll be reunited with Satine." Obi-Wan states, smiling warmly.

"I'm scared to die. I don't want to die alone, Obi-Wan." Trapper admits as he uses his real name, there are no ranks here, just two men waiting to leave.

"Then you won't. I'll wait."

"But then you'll be alone?"

"Yes, but I imagine I won't last much longer after you."

"Do you think we'll be found?"

"Yes, eventually."

"Do you think they'll bury me with my vod?"

"Cody will, he'll make sure of it."

"Okay." Trapper says, his eyes getting droopy, he knows it's not that much longer now. "It was an honor to serve under you, Obi-Wan."

"And it was an honor being able to be your General, Trapper." Obi-Wan states, Obi-Wan looks to Trapper and feels him in the Force as he slowly starts to drift off.

"See you in minute." Trapper says and takes his last breath as he stills.

"And I you, my friend. Nu kyr'adyc, shi taab'echaaj'la" Obi-Wan mutters his remembrance.

His world starts to grow black but, in the distance, he can hear a ship landing, but whoever they are, they're too late. Obi-Wan takes his last breath and stills. As he joins the Force, he runs into the welcoming arms of Satine and reunites with all those that he had lost during the war, including Trapper and his vod.
