A Mystery Fusion
by: Aaron Nowack

Disclaimer: Ranma 1/2 belongs... wait. Oh, tricky person. You're
trying to get me to give away the mystery here. Nope. You'll have to
wait till the end for the disclaimer, buddy.

Akane Tendo sighed as she raced to school. Did it really take
only a day for one's entire life to be utterly ruined? Was her father
really as stupid as he sometimes seemed? Was there somebody even more
perverted than Kunou?

The evidence for a yes answer to all these questions was the
idiot pervert running along side her. How in the world did she end up
engaged to person she hadn't known existed yesterday? Akane growled as
she thought back and allowed her body to run on autopilot...

"I am... Saotome Ranma. My apologies."

***

"Let's have a little match then!"

"I would prefer not."

***

"There's a pervert in the bathroom!"

***

"Err... I'm Saotome Ranma. Sorry about this."

***

"Your problem isn't so terrible after all!"

***

"Pick the one you want. She's your fiancee."

***

"Oh, he wants Akane!"

***

"They're already a perfect couple!"

By the time Akane had finished running through the previous
meeting, her morning fan club lay demolished on the ground. Akane wiped
her forehead before turning to face the last obstacle to a...
hopefully... normal school day.

"Truly, such a boorish lot."

Akane tuned out the rest of Kunou's speech until an unexpected
voice chimed in. "Man. You're popular, aren't you?"

"Stay out of this! You'll get hurt," growled Akane.

Of course, the baka ignored her, and Kunou confronted him with
his usual threats. "My name is Upperclassman Kunou," continued the
kendoist.

That was when Akane found herself on the ground several feet
away. As she tried to see what had happened, she noticed that Ranma had
changed. Was it raining? As before, the most obvious change was the
hair. Then, her vision was drawn to Ranma's eyes. What was that saying
about eyes never changing? It was unnerving...

What? Was Ranma floating? No way... must be some sort of
illusion. And where was Kunou? Akane located Kunou slumped up against
a tree just a moment before Ranma spoke.

"Kunou!" roared the golden eyed, purple-haired girl, pain and
hatred in her voice. "Where is my hagoromo?"

Yes, my gentle readers, it's Ayashi no Ranma.

It's a bit clumsily done, but I think it's an amusing enough idea...

Disclaimer: Ranma 1/2 belongs to Rumiko Takahashi. Ayashi no Ceres
belongs to Yuu Watase.
