CORY

"MOVE IT, I.G.O.R.! I WANT THAT ULTIMATE AMULET FORGED, AND I WANTED IT FORGED YESTERDAY!"

"Y-Yes sir! Augh, WHY is this being SO complicated! COME ON!"

Van Helsing's on edge now, as if not evidenced by him yelling into the basement. I know people do a LOT of stupid things when terrified like in those scary horror movies, but this was by FAR the stupidest. Not only do we have to prepare to take back our home, we need to find a way to kill those Ultimate Revenants, NOW!

Their transformation is growing more and more rapid. Sunlight won't affect them now. Our only hope is that Ultimate Amulet. Everyone's hurrying. Even MY mutation is growing more rapidly! And Lisa's is, too!

Meanwhile, Scarlet and Todd are helping with the creation by collaborating with the brains to make something that might give the amulet an extra OOMPH. By using mass-produced gadgets called Luminifiers-5000 (Billy Harlan got the idea from Abe amplifying the sunlight reflected from the moon), the light is shining into the magical-high tech science hybrid creation and forging of the amulet with all seven Moonstones amplifying it to make it even MORE powerful than we originally planned for it to be!

"I had a feeling this would happen." Abe sighs. "That you'd lose control and transfer the Ultimate onto something else. But I wasn't expecting the victim to be a goddamn REVENANT…"

"Not just any Revenant." Scarlet says. "Compton Dawes is their leader. He controls them like a zombie hive mind. And he can pass his power onto them!"

"As if finding that incantation wasn't complicated enough." Abe states. "I gotta check on the progress."

I guess I should too. Meanwhile, Lisa can inform Dylan about our…setback. Still can't believe we have some GOOD zombies with us. Maybe THAT will finish my fear of them for good.

I follow Abe into the basement of Dead House. There, I can see the Hunting Party hard at work. Frankenstein is hammering away with his electric hammer, adding more energy to the creation.

It's molten and superheated. A pair of large tongs levitate in the air, picking the amulet up and dipping it in some water. At the sight, I see Van Helsing smile.

"It's almost done…"

Once it's taken out, I see that the design is a fusion of both ancient magic and futuristic and highly advanced alien technology. There's no doubt about it. This is the most powerful Hybrid Compatible device yet.

The mages, Sasquatch, Morgred, and Conrad, use their strongest enchantments on the amulet before I.G.O.R. uses the Luminifiers to carve some engravings onto the amulet. Looks like written monster language. The light itself becomes enchanted and transforms into magical amplified sunlight.

Most of the contraptions they use are those I can't even begin to fathom the functions of. I'm just left with a big fat look of "Woah".

I recognize some of the more traditional blacksmith-like steps, like pouring the molten metal onto the amulet. The magic components are levitated down onto it, and I see the high-tech stuff activate remotely.

Finally, there's a slight flash of light. And the amulet lies still.

"And now…for the moment of truth."

Van Helsing steps forward and takes a nearby briefcase, which he sets onto the table next to the amulet and opens. Inside are the seven Moonstones.

He opens the amulet's compartment to reveal seven slots. At first I thought that the Moonstones couldn't possibly fit. But then again, when it comes to magic, NOTHING is impossible.

The Dead Stone goes first, shrinking down and entering the north slot. The Deep Stone is next, entering the south slot. I don't even realize I'm holding my breath until I exhale. Still, I pray that nothing blows up.

The Spirit Stone goes northwest. The Curse Stone goes northeast. The Creation Stone goes southwest. The Beast Stone goes southeast.

Finally, Van Helsing takes the Blood Stone. And he has it shrink down and enter the final slot in the very center.

The slots close. And the amulet powers up with a bright whir.

"Come on…" Abe silently says. "Come on…"

Once the sound gets high enough of a pitch, seven supernatural energy sources all fuse together. And finally, the Ultimate Amulet glows a bright green!

"YES!"

The light dies down, and I see the final design: There's a sun and a moon, both green, around Earth. And at the very front, there's a green slimy G. And the writing. I've seen enough of the monster language to translate. It means "Fear Makes Courage".

Abe only grabs the amulet with a proud smirk on his face.

"Ladies and gentlemen," He says. "We did it. The Ultimate Amulet has been forged! Congratulations! More than an army's work of strength is contained within this vessel! And the cure for every monster transformation, illness, and virus all lie right here."

"The brightest light in the blackest of darkness…" I state, still unable to believe that I just came up with it.

"With this thing, our Ultimate problems are over. All that's left is to find that incantation." Abe says. "THEN we can take back Hollowville."

"There's STILL a special set of armor, by the way." I.G.O.R. says. "Care to do the honors?"

"Alright then…what are the magic words?"

"You get the first shot. Whatever comes to mind."

Van Helsing stares down at the amulet as if his entire life had led to this moment. That his family was destined to make this thing. So…he makes that new incantation.

"For all humans and monsters," He cries. "THE NIGHTMARE IS MINE TO COMMAND!"

He holds it high, and the light glows greatly! I have to brace myself against it…

But when it fades, I can tell. It's gonna be one HELL of an upgrade.

LISA

Huh? What's with the green light in the basement? That's either really good or really bad…

There's silence. And then, something comes up the stairs. Woah…I CANNOT believe what the figure looks like!

It's a figure in black monstrous armor, almost like the classic look of the Arcane Amulet. Except now, it's pitch black with ghostly green light trimmings! And it holds a massive sword on its shoulder. Wow…

I am seriously jealous right now.

"So…whaddya think?"

The helmet retracts, and I see Abe's face underneath.

"That. Is. AWESOME!" Jack Black yells. "How'd you get to change your armor like that?!"

"The Ultimate Amulet." Abe replies. "It's finally complete."

"So, all we have to do is find Dawes, then use its power on him, and BAM!" Cory adds, entering as well. "No more Ultimate army! We can even cure ourselves!"

"Wait…" I ask. "How do we even KNOW that this cure part can actually WORK?"

That's when we hear something. Roars, just off in the distance. Coming closer, too.

"Well then…time to take this baby out for a test drive."

Van Helsing redons his helmet and rushes outside. Cory and I follow, all while I fight the hallucinations. I nearly puke up more black gunk, but I manage to hold it in and swallow (Ugh…).

Two beasts land in the road just nearby. As they roar, I notice what they look like. Like hairy yetis, only a bit smaller. The faces are almost human. They have black, white, and hairy blue shaggy fur, and bear-like claws.

"Oh." Van Helsing states. "Nothing major here. Just a case of the Beast Disease."

"Beast Disease?" I ask.

"Happens to humans who had Blender ancestors. The genes kick in when they become thirteen, but their minds are so used to being human that they can't control this form. This must be the Glassman family. Ira and his sister Judy. She must've transformed recently."

"Not to mention Slappy's got them on a leash." Cory states, as we notice the glowing green eyes.

"Must be here to turn us into Revenants, and then Ultimates. Well, let's see what this baby can do."

The two beasts roar, and Van Helsing moves to engage! He leaps over a claw swipe and kicks the backside of a knee, then slashes at the first beast's back before holding back the second beast's jaws and kneeing it in the lower one. He tosses the monster away effortlessly.

The feral monsters try using everything they've got, but this is a pro monster hunter. He beats beasts like these before breakfast.

Sure enough, Van Helsing whoops ass effortlessly with both weapons, high-tech, and magic alike. These two ferocious nightmares to kids are just laughable to us, and are even weakened by sharp whistling. And once they're both weakened, it's then that Van Helsing takes out the amulet and holds it high.

"Karru Marri Odonna Loma Molonu Karrano!"

The amulet flashes a bright light of green, and the two beasts roar out in sharp pain and anger! It fades after a while, and two humans now take the place of the beasts. And it doesn't take long for them to realize what happened.

"We…We're cured!" Judy gasped. "I-I can't believe it!"

"Wait…where are we?" Ira begins to notice the surroundings. "This doesn't look like Sulphur Falls…"

"Sure, Baker Grendal could've cured it, but do you WANT to be anemic?" Van Helsing states before retracting the helmet. "You must have a lot of questions. I'll explain everything once we get back to Dead House. Trust me, you don't wanna be outside when it's midnight."

Woah. He must know a LOT of stuff. At least the cure works.

"Do you know what this means?" I ask.

"Yeah." Cory answers. "First we find Dawes and the Revenants, and then we destroy them. And once the Ultimate Army is no more…we'll be coming back home."

Suddenly, he yells and clutches his heart! I hear him groan before his eyes briefly flicker. Meanwhile, I get a splitting headache as I feel my brain pulse! I see what I can only describe as Lovecraftian Armageddon for a few moments before I snap back to reality.

"And…we should hurry to." He adds as I feel a shiver go down my spine. "I…I don't think our magic can hold the curses back for much longer…"
