Love, Heartbreak, and Ice Cream

It was Valentine's Day. T.K. was going to Kari's apartment with a fairly large box of chocolates. Unfortunately, Davis was doing exactly the same thing.

They both got to the apartment door at the same time. They exchanged glances, each challenging the other to chicken out. T.K. reached out and rang the doorbell. They continued glaring at each other until Kari opened the door.

She looked at both of them. "Umm. . . hi," she said.

The boys each held out their heart-shaped boxes. Kari looked at them uneasily.

"Sorry I'm late!" someone yelled from down the hallway.

"It's okay," Kari said.

T.K. and Davis looked at the person speaking to Kari. He was about their age, with reddish-brown hair.

"T.K., Davis, I'd like you to meet Brian," Kari said. "We're dating each other." She stepped out into the hall and took Brian's outstretched hand. "Good-bye!"

T.K. and Davis stared down the hallway, then at each other. Suddenly, they heard a crash coming from the apartment. They went inside to see what was going on. They found Tai, Sora, Mimi, Joe, Izzy, Yolei, Ken, and Cody stirring something inside a 50-gallon trash barrel.

"What the hell are you doing?" Davis asked.

"Making ice cream," said Tai.

T.K. looked inside the barrel. "That's a lot of ice cream," he said.

"Wanna help make it?" Sora asked.

T.K. and Davis looked at each other, then shrugged. "Sure."

Since there were 50 gallons of ice cream, they had to stir it with a broomstick, and everyone had to help stir. (Have you ever tried to stir 50 gallons of ice cream at once? It ain't that easy)

When the ice cream was ready, everyone got a spoon and started eating. "This is pretty good," T.K. said.

"Yeah," said Davis. "Hey, we actually agreed on something. Maybe we could be friends after all."

"Maybe," T.K. said. "Why not?"

Davis stuck out his hand. T.K. shook it. "Friends," they said.

Mimi pretended to wipe away a tear. "Oh how cute," she said.

"Shut up and eat," Tai said. Ice cream was dribbling down his chin.

Matt came in the door. "T.K. mom wants you to come home for su- hey ice cream!" he said.

Sora handed him a spoon. He sat down and ate. And ate. And ate.

Soon, Kari came through the door. "He broke up wit- ICE CREAM!!!!!!" she screamed and grabbed a soup ladle.

An hour later twelve bloated children were lying on the kitchen floor of the Kamiya's apartment. In the middle of the floor sat an empty 50-gallon trash can.

"That was the *burp* best ice cream I've *burp* ever had," said Joe.

"*burp* Yup," Izzy said.

"I can't *burp* get up," Davis whined.

T.K. woke up. "That was the weirdest dream ever," he said. "Me and Davis FRIENDS?" He started laughing uncontrollably. Suddenly he got an intense craving for ice cream.

He went into his kitchen. 11 digidestined were gathered around a 50-gallon trash can.

"This is too weird," he said.

"Shut up and eat," Tai said. Ice cream was dribbling down his chin.

T.K. grabbed a spoon and dug in. He put a spoonful in his mouth. Pure sugary heaven.

THE END

(or is it just the beginning?)
