Chapter 8: Nebula's Final Movement

"Glyde Cannon!"

"Guts Hammer!"

"Grrrrrahhh!" Beastman rampaged past Glyde and Gutsman's attacks, undamaged and angrier than ever.

"Here he comes!" Everybody scattered, hoping to buy themselves some time.

"Dark Lance!" The beast pounded his claws into the ground, sending purple energy crashing throughout the entire area. Repelling all the Navis, except Rockman and Blues.

"Netto-kun! I need a powerful chip, and fast!" Rockman shouted.

"You've got it! Battle Chip, Shirahadori! Slot-in!"

Rockman's body glowed. He raised his hands as Beastman approached, waiting for the Darkloid to commence another strike.

"Delete!" Beastman slammed his claws down on Rockman's head, only to have them caught between the smaller Navi's palms.

"Shirahadori!" Rockman pushed Beastman's claws out of the way and counterattacked with a sword slash. The sword bit into Beastman's arm, severing it and leaving data particles.

Beastman stumbled back. "Dark Rec –!"

"He's doing it again!" Rockman gasped.

"We see him!" Enzan was on top of things. "Battle Chip, Bad Medicine! Slot-in!"

Beastman's recovery stalled. A green fog enveloped him, corroding him like rust. His condition worsened, starting with his other arm. It was followed by his head, which fell off his neck. It wasn't long before he imploded the loss of Hit Points.

A portal emerged where Beastman last stood.

"What is it Rockman?" Netto asked.

"It's a link, Netto-kun! To the Darkloid base!"

"Give us the address! Blues, follow the link! We'll track the base to its real-world location!"

"What's the fastest way there?" Dekao asked.

"Yaito-chan's limo?" Meiru proposed.

"It won't do! As fast as it is, my limo will need time to get here!"

"We don't have a better option!" Netto ran outside, almost getting run over by the van that pulled up.

"Netto! Are you okay?"

"Yeah. But that was close!"

The van's side door opened, revealing familiar faces.

"Get in!" the four directed. "We'll drive you!"

"WORLD THREE?"

Everyone hopped in and Madoi closed the door.

"Move it, Count Elec!" Hinoken patted the headrest.

Yuriko was spying on them from a roof. "Dr. Regal, they are en route to your location."

"Report back immediately! Let's give them a welcome they'll never forget!" Regal's voice boomed over her PET.

"Let them come. My master plan has already entered the final phase. Nothing can stop me now!" Regal laughed. He turned his chair around, gazing at his finest work.

The S-Dark Chip was complete. Its blood-red glow drained the electrical energy from everything around it, creating a small bubble that served as a barrier.

"Once unleashed, the S-Dark Chip's power will surpass science! It will cause dimensions to crumble and upset the very fabric of time! A new era! Nebula's! I alone shall rule the world!"

As Regal spoke, the S-Dark Chip pulsed as though it were alive. Its red glow grew, short-circuiting everything mechanical in the chip's proximity.

A single word was whispered, but not by Regal.

PARADISE.
