Princess Hildegard smiled as she gazed out towards the Corinthian sunset. Her lover, Princess Clio was resting her head against her shoulder.

"Isn't it beautiful" asked Clio.

"'Sure is" replied Hildegard before sighing. This was it, this was the perfect moment.

Though they'd been close friends since childhood, Hildegard and Clio had been dating for several years now. They'd be through ups and downs together. However, whether they were going through something good or bad one thing was for certain, they loved each other. That Hildegard was certain of.

Now the time had come. Hildy knew what she wanted for her and Clio but did Clio want it as well.

A twinge of panic overcame Hildegard. What is Clio wasn't ready? What if she said no?

Hildy's thoughts were suddenly interrupted by Clio's soft voice.

"Hildy" said Clio, "can I ask you something?"

"Of course" replied Hildegard.

"Do you love me, like really love me" asked Clio.

"I love you more then anything" assured Hildegard.

Clio then got up.

'Oh no' thought Hildy, 'did I mess up...'

Clio then knelt down before Hildegard.

"Hildy" spoke Clio as Hildegard gasped, "being with you has always been the happiest parts of my life. Even when we were 'just friends.' I've always loved you and I wanna spend the rest of my life with you."

Hildegard felt herself hyperventilating. Was Clio really...?

Clio then pulled out a small velvet box and opened it. Inside was was the most beautiful ring Hildegard had ever seen.

"Hildegard" asked Clio, "will you marry me?"

Hildegard started laughing as tears streamed down her cheeks.

"Hildy" asked Clio concerned.

"I was gonna ask you the same thing!" shouted Hildegard with joy. She then revealed her own ring for Clio.

Clio gasped as tears started running down her own cheeks. Smiling she asked "does this mean?"

"Yes, yes, yes!" went Hildegard as the two princesses embraced.
