"Oh, wait, it says Loveline is intended for an adult audience." Xander turned the volume up a bit. "I guess Riley's out, huh?"
"You watch this show?" Giles asked.
"You don't?" Xander countered.
"I never said that." he sat down to check it out.
"Hello? You guys. Problems. Buffy."
"She has to take care of herself." Anya said. "She's too dependent on men."
"Anya," Willow began. "You--"
"She's right," Giles decided.
Everyone looked at him in surprise.
"It's true," he said, looking right at the curtain housing the snoring being known as Riley Finn. "We can't trust him, I know that much, so we should take this outside."
"Wait, Giles." Xander pointed to the TV. "Kyle's asking how many times he can do it without causing permanent damage to his rolling pin."
Giles thought it over for a minute. "Set the VCR, will you?"

The four of them walked outside and Willow shivered out of nervousness.
"In the time I've known Buffy, I've grown to care for her immensely. I've also learned that she has two bad habits. One is that she constantly feels the need for male companionship and she lets herself rely completely on whichever man it may be at the time. Two is that she always needs someone to look up to and admire."
"Are you jealous that it's not you anymore?" Anya asked. Everyone stared at her and shook their heads.
"I hate to say it, but I agree with everything Giles said." Anya added.
"You do." he was shocked.
"Yeah. I haven't known Buffy as long as you but all the signs are there."
"I never thought about it before Giles, but you're right, on both accounts." Willow said.
"We need to do something." Xander said.
"What can we do?" Giles asked. "This is her life and she's an adult. These are her mistakes to make."
"But Giles, every time she needs something, she runs to us." Willow said. "Something doesn't add up."
"Something's missing," Giles agreed.
"Not something," Xander said. "Someone."
They all looked at each other and sighed. They all knew what they needed.
"I'll call him." Giles said, heading for the house.
"Let me," Anya pulled out a cell phone and handed it to him. "No one will hear you this way."
"Thank you." he was completely shocked at her thoughtfulness.
"Think it'll work?" Willow whispered to Xander. He shrugged.
"It's our last resort."
