"Friendship"

Surely you have experienced true friendship. Friendship is the high-octane fuel in your engine that keeps your car running and tumbling through the bumps in the highway of life. It is the placid bay that permits rest and recuperation after a full day of grueling rowing through life's turbulent waters. It is the feeling that you are in a utopia despite everything terrible that has happened thus far. Friendship is the warm glow illuminating the sky and wiping away the gray clouds of a relentless storm. It is an instant connection with another person and the closest thing in the universe to having a telepathic link with another person. Friendship is agreements and contradictions; with every agreement, argument and compromise, a friendship intensifies and strengthens. It is the feeling that everything is right in the universe and the hope that you can stay in that moment forever. Friendship is refuge when you realize that the illusion of serenity and harmony cannot exist forever; yet you know that even better times lie ahead no matter what as long as you have your friend by your side. It is saying "hello" and "goodbye." Friendship is grief and distress that you have to bid farewell to a friend yet setting it all aside and wishing them for the best deep down. It is staying friends in spite of any distances and differences. It is coming and going yet also sharing a special bond every single second you are together. Friendship is a memory of times long gone; it is a time for nostalgia and reminiscence, but also a time to look forward to the future. Friendship is enjoying every moment of someone's company, yet forever reflecting and contemplating what friendship was, is, and will be with that person.
