At night, I dream
At night, I dream.
Sometimes I wake up
yelling,
Sweat trickling down my
face,
Heart pounding
wildly.
At night, I
dream.
I can't recall all that I
see;
People and places I don't
recognise.
Pensieves long
spilt.
At night, I
dream.
The crouching man and
woman,
The door exploding off its
hinges,
The dark-haired
infant.
At night, I
dream.
A deathly pale and
snakelike visage
Haunts me in my
sleep.
Its fiery glare chills me
to the bone.
Last night, I
dreamed.
And woke up gasping for
breath.
I left my bed; went to the
mirror.
Looked myself in the
face.
Last night, I
screamed.
