It was a beautiful August day, the sky was forget-me-not blue and there wasn't a cloud in it. There was a medium sized white tent set up in a large green field. There was a yellow carpet that led to a pulpit where a wizard in white dress robes stood behind it. To his left stood two gentlemen. The one farthest from him was dressed in a dark blue suite and the one closer was more finely dressed. His suite was light gray, he had a royal blue pocket square folded into a rose, and a tie that reflected the night sky, with the shooting stars moving. The tie was curtesy of his good friend Badeea and was done it an eldritch knot. On his clean shaved face was a happy and slightly nervous look, and a pair of dark blue brow-line glasses, and his hair looked recently cut. The two men were River Knotts and Talbott Winger. It was River Knotts' wedding day and Talbott was his best man. The bride of honor was Chiara. She was dressed in a mint green dress. The tent was filled with people, all friends from when they were in Hogwarts. River's mother, and his brother Jacob sat at the front along with Mr and Mrs Haywood. Bill and Charlie Weasley also sat at the front with their parents. Percy was missing, as he was in guess with his family. The others that were there included Jea, Tonks, Barnaby, Ben, Tulip, Badeea, Liz, Diego, Beatrice, Hagrid and surprisingly Merula and Ismelda. The rest of the order was there as well. Everyone was dressed in appropriate coloured formal dressing except the last two, who were dressed in funeral black outfits. River kept tapping his foot rapidly and nervously. Jacob noticed and spoke to him using Legilimens. They were both born with it and were now very adapt at it. Relax Pip. It's going to be fine. It'll be over before you know it. River stopped tapping and said, I don't want it to end, I just don't like the wait. It's hard to relax when I am on top of the world. Jacob bit his lip to stop himself from laughing.
The drapes at the entrance opened Penny Haywood started walking down the aisle. Her dress was one of the most amazing things River had ever seen. It was made of silk, the top half white gradually fading to a light summer yellow. It was sleeveless, with an open back and sweetheart neckline with only a few frills on the trail of the dress. The dress however, was nothing compared to Penny. She looked beautiful as ever, almost glowing. Her long golden hair was done in a single braid, decorated with daisies. She had a silver necklace draped around her throat with a teardrop at the end. When Penny reached the pulpit, River beamed at her. "You look beautiful." Penny gave a quite giggle, "And you look handsome as ever." The wizard in white dress robes cleared his throat and cast Sornus quickly. He put his hands on the pulpit and said, "Dear Witches and Wizards, family and friends. Today, we have gathered here to celebrate the union of Penny Haywood and River Knotts. If there is anyone who would object to this union, speak now or forever hold your peace." When no one said anything, the man continued. "Very well. River Buchanan William Knotts, do you accept Penny Haywood to be your wife, in joy and hardship, in prosperity and poverty?" River nodded, "I do." The man nodded and turned to Penny, "Penny Mary Haywood, do you accept River Knotts to be your husband, in joy and hardship, in prosperity and poverty?" Penny smiled at River and said, "Yes. I do." The wizard smiled, "Who is the ring bearer?" Talbott came forward and pulled his wand out, conjuring a pillow and the two rings. Both were made of gold. Penny's was two bands weaving over eachother studded with diamonds and lined with platinum. River's was a simple single band with flat edges and two platinum lines going around it. They put their rings on each other. "By the right and power in my name, I declare this couple as husband and wife. You may now kiss the bride." River glanced at the wizard with a smirk and said, "Stop telling me what to do." He leaned in and kissed Penny deeply. The wizard raised his wand and golden confetti sprayed out of it and everyone in the room burst into cheers. River took Penny's hand and the two turned to the crowd. Everyone stood up and the chairs floated into the air and transformed into tables and landed with food on top of them. Everyone took their seats and Talbott began his best man toast. "All the years I've known River, he's been… how do I word this? He's been an air head." Everyone laughed and he continued. "Always throwing himself after whatever he wanted, never knowing when to quit. And that's what makes him such a good friend. A good brother; because that's what I consider you to be, River. And Penny, I consider you like as sister now that you're marrying this dog." Everyone laughed again and Talbott paused for a moment. "I love you both. So very much and it warms my heart that you two have your chance to be happy. Penny, you could not ask for a better man to be your husband. Even though River is an air head, he is so many other things. He's strong, he's loyal, kind and caring, considerate and selfless. He will put his life down for you. He's also pretty damn attractive so." Everyone laughed and Talbott raised his glass, "To River and Penny Knotts!"
