Chapter 5

Lincoln got taken off guard when Luna kissed him. Though not entirely so, as he had already entertained the idea that she might still harbor feelings for him. Regardless, Lincoln flailed about, unsure what to do with his arms and getting pushed back against the door. Relenting, he gave in to his sister's passion and joined her in a dramatic embrace.

For the moment, his mind got wiped of everything else in his life except Luna. All thoughts of Sam had vanished. Wrapping his arms around her, he felt his way under her shirt and ran his hands along her back. Now was the time, if there was ever a time to satiate his long-held desire for his sister. Matching her intensity, he withdrew his arms and removed her shirt.

"I love you, Luna," he breathed heavily, panting as he began removing his clothes. "You have no idea."

"Oh, I think I do," she cooed quietly, struggling with her grommet belt to disrobe fully. "I love you too."

While the others, including a fuming Sam, were eating breakfast, Luna and Lincoln made love for this time, making do with little space at the ready. Choosing the floor instead, Lincoln grabbed his blankets and spread them out while Luna finished taking off her clothes. Then, Lincoln passionately lowered his sister to the floor and took his position on top of her.

Nestled between her upright legs, he began with a session of oral sex, stimulating her into overdrive, then moving up her soft, freckled belly, kissing her as he went. Lincoln slowly moved into position and kissed her thoroughly as he lined up and entered her.

While Lincoln was eighteen, he'd never had sex before, and the feeling was more incredible than anything he could imagine, far more intense than masturbation. The warmth of her body, combined with her fiery moaning and grasping at him, added to the overall excitement he felt. Lincoln enjoyed having a willing and eager partner.

"What's keeping them, anyway?" inquired Sully as he devoured his pigs-in-a-blanket. "They should've been back by now."

"Who knows," sighed Mazzy, rather indifferent about the whole thing. "They're siblings and probably doing sibling things."

"Don't count on it," griped Sam, who sat there with deeply furrowed brows and a slightly hurt look in her eyes, idly nibbling on a piece of bacon. "Knowing Luna, she's probably fucking him," she mumbled crossly.

"Say what, now?" gasped Mazzy, nearly spitting out her orange juice.

Sam glanced over at the two lovebirds without changing her expression. "Oh, come on," she complained. "Don't tell me you put two and two together? Think about how much she raves about him. It's non-stop!" Sam reminded them. "And she went out of her way to recruit him just when she'd started feeling off about the music business. You can't tell me that isn't a coincidence."

"Well..." sighed Mazzy, a little put off by the news but not entirely surprised. "That has crossed my mind if I were honest," the girl admitted. "Then again," she reconsidered, "isn't that a little gross, not to mention illegal?"

"Someone should go check on them and make sure they're behaving," insisted Sully, worried about his career. "I don't want to lose what we have over this. After all, we aren't Luna and the Moon Goats without Luna. Hell, we aren't even the Moon Goats. We're just three out-of-work musicians."

"Fine," grumbled Sam, not unhesitant. "I'll go see what's going on."

Like her crotch, Luna's vaginal area and areolas were a dark, alluring brown, the same exciting color of her freckles, and Lincoln couldn't get enough of them. Not that Luna complained. After Lincoln had thoroughly devastated her cunt and breasts, he moved back down for another go at her crotch, lapping at every hole she had, enjoying the taste of her musky sweat. Finally spent, Lincoln and Luna continued to lay on the floor together, cuddling in the afterglow of having made love.

"Wow..." sighed Lincoln as he plopped down beside her. "I always knew being with you would be a treat, but that went far beyond my expectations."

Turning on her side, Luna draped herself over him, toying with a little tuft of chest hair. "Too bad you were only a kid when I first fell for you. That would've knocked your socks off."

"No shit," laughed Lincoln, his breathing beginning to calm. "God, I love you."

"I love you, too, Lincoln," cooed Luna, peppering his shoulder with light kisses. "But I'm extra hungry now. How about we get some breakfast before the bus pulls out?"

"Yeah," the satisfied young man agreed. "Me too," he added as he stood and helped his sister rise.

Dressing as fast as they could, they opened the door just as Sam had arrived, about to knock. Luna jumped a little in surprise, especially with Sam's evil look. The blonde withdrew her hand as she studied the two, standing there in disheveled clothing. Cocking one eye, she grimaced at Luna, then gazed furiously at Lincoln.

"How could you?" she whimpered, tears beginning to form in her eyes. "I cleaned myself up for you, and this is how you repay me; by fucking your sister?" she whined as her tears began to trickle down her cheeks. Then, without another word, she spun on her heels and ran to her room, slamming the door behind her.

"Great," sighed Luna, folding her arms. "Just what we need, even more drama. I swear. Sooner or later, Sam is going to kill this band."

Pressing his lips together, Lincoln averted his gaze for a moment. "Listen," he told his lover. "Please don't be too hard on her. You have to know she doesn't even want to do this anymore. She's only still here because of her contract. She's homesick, lonely, and I have to admit, I did tell her that if she cleaned up her act, I'd be willing to date her."

"You did what?!" exclaimed Luna in complete shock, releasing her arms. "After I warned you how she was?"

"I thought I might be able to fix her," admitted Lincoln. "Surely you know that she's in love with me. Right? I mean, she had since way back. I thought I'd give it a try and give her an incentive to get right and stay. Besides, it's not like she isn't a nice person underneath all that sadness, not to mention cute as hell."

Luna furrowed her brow. "We'll talk about this later," she murmured, not entirely pleased with Lincoln. "Come on," she said, grabbing Lincoln's hand and pulling him away from the temptation of knocking on Sam's door. "Let's go get our food."

As they walked, hand in hand, toward the IHOP, they passed Sully and Mazzy on their way out. Not inclined to speak to anyone other than Lincoln at the moment, she nodded as they approached them. She would've continued past them had it not been for Sully's indication that he wanted to say something.

"Hey, Luna?" he began, unsure of what transpired. "Is everything alright? You guys were taking forever, and Sam got worried," he explained. Then, noticing the latter wasn't with them, he questioned his friend. "I see she's not with you. Is she okay?"

"Not really," muttered Luna, rather annoyed with Sam at the moment. "She's upset. Maybe you should go talk to her."

"No," interjected Mazzy, thinking that hearing advice or consoling words from a male might not go over well with Sam. "I'll do it," she announced, breaking hands with Sully and darting for the bus.

"We'll be along in a moment," Luna told Sully, who stood alone in a daze. "We're getting something to go, and then we'll be ready to leave."

"Fine," conceded the keyboardist. "I'll let Dave know to give you a few more minutes. But make it snappy. You know how he is for punctuality."

Sam lay on her bunk, face down in her pillow, hugging it tightly, when Mazzy knocked on her door. "May I come in? I need to talk to you," the drummer said, announcing herself.

Sam didn't feel like talking but knew it would do her good. It was either that or drugs, and she'd thrown everything away. Her body hurt, not only from her recent emotional turmoil but from withdrawal symptoms, neither of which endeared her to idle chat. Still, maybe her friend could help.

"Come in," Sam called as she stood and wiped her eyes before unlocking the door. "It's open," she said, taking a seat on her bed.

"Spill," ordered Mazzy after entering and closing the door behind her, folding her arms in concern. "This morning, you looked better than I've seen you in a long time. Not, you're a total wreck."

"It's Lincoln," Sam cried. "He's..." she whimpered, pausing to decide whether she wanted her issues known. But eventually, she relented. "He's with Luna now, and after everything I did for him, I feel so stupid and empty."

"What do you mean?" asked Mazzy, somewhat puzzled, taking a seat beside Sam.

"I'm in love with him, Maz," admitted Sam through her tears. "And last night, I told him how I felt. Then, he said he liked me too, and if I stopped doing drugs and straightened up, he'd be willing to date me. Now, I don't know what to think."

"Wait..." murmured Mazzy, trying to assimilate what Sam had said. "He left you for his sister?"

"Mmhm," hummed Sam, nodding as she idly played with her bangs.

"Well, you know," Mazzy led, trying to bring Sam back down to earth. "We live the rock and roll lifestyle. Have you ever thought about patching things up with Luna and having a three-way relationship?"

"What?" whispered the blonde, staring confusedly at her friend.

Mazzy pursed her lips and gazed at Sam. "Come on," the girl cooed. "You're the party girl, remember? Surely, you don't have a problem sharing him. I mean, I've seen you take two guys at once, with a girl squatting over your face. Don't tell me you've gone domestic on me."

"I don't know," Sam moaned. "Ever since he arrived, he's all I've been able to think about," she admitted. "But you're right. Maybe I should patch things up with her, at the very least."

"That's my girl," cooed Mazzy, not sure about the morality of what she just suggested. "Now, come on. Cheer up. If you love him, don't let him get away. Fight for him, even if that means accepting Luna too."

"You're right," Sam exclaimed, coming to a determined stand and wiping away her sorrow. "I'm going to win Lincoln's heart, one way or the other. No more feeling sorry for myself, and no more crutches."

Unseen by either Luna or Lincoln, several men and a few women put their cameras around their necks after taking shots of the pair walking toward the IHOP, hand in hand. Then, leaving their vehicles, just after the two entered the building, they waited a moment before going in for the kill.

"Hi, yes," said Lincoln as he stood at the take-out counter. "I'd like a full stack and a side of sausage, please. Oh, and two scrambled eggs."

"I'll have the breakfast sampler, please," chirped Luna, the thought of filling her stomach after their bout of lovemaking relaxing the girl's tensions.

After receiving the total, Luna whipped out her company credit card as Lincoln had yet to get one. Then, Luna turned to her brother to begin chatting, just as the cameras started to flash. That's when the other customers began to take notice of the pair.

"Hey!" barked one customer, pointing at the young woman in purple. "That's Luna! Luna Loud!"

Lincoln took up his position, guarding his sister until their food arrived, as Luna tried to dodge questions from the few fans that happened to be eating there as well.

"Yes," she told one of them. "We'll be in Houston tomorrow."

"No," she replied to another. "I don't have time to sit for an interview."

Then, signing one fan's shirt, one of the paparazzi for TMZ put down their camera long enough to start a tape recorder and shove a mic into her face.

"Tell me, miss Loud," the man insistently requested. "Who's the young man you're with today? Is he your new boyfriend?"

"What?" gasped Luna, feigning surprise. "Of course not. He's my brother."

"Oh," replied the man before grilling her further. "I see his shirt says staff, but you seemed relatively close, holding hands on your way inside. Do you care to explain that?"

"Miss Loud, your order is ready," said the lady behind the counter as she slid the bags toward her and handed her card back to her. "Thank you, come again."

"Thanks," sighed Luna, picking up the bag and following Lincoln toward the door, both of them ignoring the last question the man had asked.

It took some doing, but Lincoln finally got Luna aboard the bus, leaving a few fans disappointed that they didn't get to speak to Luna or get an autograph. It was for the best, however. With the paparazzi present, there was no telling where things might have led.

"Thanks, Lincoln," Luna chirped in relief as she sat down at the little dining table and began pulling things from the bag. "You're a lifesaver, you know that, dude?"

"Just doing my job," he replied, sitting and reaching for his breakfast items.

"Which job is that?" interjected Sam as she unexpectedly sat across from them. "Staff member, brother..." she said before pausing, "...lover?"

"Sam..." grumbled Luna. "I don't have time for this. Either clam up or go away."

"Well, excuse me," barked the blond in her defense. "I was only curious. Besides, I only came to say I'm sorry."

"Sorry for what?" inquired Luna, now a little curious.

"For everything," Sam admitted, wanting nothing more than to repair things between them. Well, almost nothing more. Her real goal was Lincoln, whether or not Luna was involved. "I made a real mess of things haven't I?"

"That's an understatement," groaned Luna as she started eating. "Look, if you don't want to be here so badly, I can talk to Bill about your contract."

"No, that won't be necessary," Sam said a little too forcefully. "I'm okay now. I want to be here."

"Why?" barked Luna, growing annoyed again. "So you can try to steal Lincoln from me? I don't think so."

"So, you admit it, then," sighed Sam, withdrawing somewhat and looking humble. "The two of you are in love?"

"Yes," answered Luna proudly. "We are. What of it?"

"I'm..." Sam began before pausing to swallow her pride. "I'm happy for you." Then, turning to Lincoln, she gazed at him with furrowed brows. "Listen, I'm sorry for standing in your way. I didn't know you felt the same way about your sister that she did about you. But, you should know, what I said last night is true. I'm in love with you. And, I know you have feelings for me too. But I know I lost, and I'm sorry. I won't bother you again," she said before standing and preparing to leave.

"Wait..." sighed Luna as her friend walked off. "Do you really mean that?"

"Yes, I do," replied Sam hesitantly but genuinely. "I only wish there was something I could do to fix whatever is wrong between us. At least then, Lincoln wouldn't have to put up with our constant bickering."

"Maybe there is," Luna said, lost in thought.

"What do you mean?" asked the blond, turning back toward Luna in curiosity.

"Well..." muttered Luna, unsure if she should ask this soon after Sam's apology, especially when it might lead to trouble for herself. However, it was a sound idea, considering the paparazzi were already digging. "Would you consider being Lincoln's public girlfriend? You know, to hide my relationship with him?"

As Sam stared at her former girlfriend, the bus began to pull away from the IHOP, causing her to shift slightly, nearly losing her balance. Grabbing onto the nearest chair, she attempted to stabilize herself but ended up on the floor instead.

"Sam!" exclaimed Lincoln, leaving his chair and reaching for her. "Are you alright?" he asked, stooping and putting one hand on her shoulder.

"Uh, yeah..." she muttered as she gazed into his eyes. Then, tearing her attention from him, she returned to Luna's question, still sitting on the floor. "I don't know, Luna," she finally answered. "I mean, how would that work? I'd have to kiss him in public, and you know I have feelings for him. Wouldn't that make you jealous?"

Sam's refusal to immediately agree, Luna's foreknowledge of the feelings between her friend and her brother, and Sam's concern over how it might affect Luna finally convinced the girl that her friend was being sincere. Furrowing her brows, she ignored Sam's question momentarily and turned her attention toward Lincoln.

"Do you..." Luna sighed with uncertainty. "I mean, are you in love with her, too?"

"Well..." sighed Lincoln, blushing while rubbing his head. "Dang it, Luna, you know I can't lie to you," he mumbled. "Yes, I'm in love with Sam too. But, I made my choice, and that's that."

Luna breathed heavily, then stood and folded her arms, staring at them both. "Fine," she offered with all seriousness written upon her face. "The truth is, I miss Sam too, the old Sam. And, if she's back, I see no reason why we can't all be together. But, the paparazzi are still going to need a diversion from me. How about it, Sam? Are you back with us?"

The prone blonde's eyes opened wide in surprise. "Really?" Sam chirped. "Are you sure about this? Can we make this work with all three of us?" she eagerly inquired as she came to a stand.

"As long as you promise to stop doing drugs and apply yourself," Luna smiled. "Of course. All we can do is try. Right?"
