They were hunting Corpus - specifically the ship's Acting First Officer Lieutenant Commander Khiy.

"He is going to be so angry" hissed Teso. He carefully reached for the rifle he had slung over his shoulder.

Several yards ahead of them Khiy walked through the ship oblivious of his stalkers. He had just finished a shift on the bridge and was now heading for his office, reading reports as he walked.

"Good," whispered Yevki, walking beside Teso. "I told him to report to medical several days ago so I could make sure his back has fully healed."

"We need to test this before we tell Commander Teko," chided Veko. "This isn't about revenge."

"Of course not," said Yevki, rubbing his hands together. "Now are you going to shoot him or not?"

"Right side or left side?" asked Teso. "Ten credits I hit him in the butt on the side you choose."

"Teso, everyone on the ship knows how good a shot you are," said Yevki, rolling his eyes. "We aren't Alad V's idiots who kept betting against you and never figured it out,"

"No, we are Frohd Bek's idiots," said Veko, with a mischievous grin. Then he quickly ducked to avoid the incoming blow aimed for his head from Yevki.

"Right butt cheek it is," said Teso. He lifted the rifle, took aim and fired with his usual impressive skill and speed that many still found hard to believe was possible.

Ahead of them Khiy suddenly stopped walking, looked around confused, glanced down at his butt. "Who?" he reached for the dart that had magically appeared then keeled over unconscious.

A younger officer suddenly appeared from around a corner. His eyes fell on the unconscious senior officer with a dart sticking out of his rear. He yelped and fled. "I saw nothing . . . . !"

Teso, Veko and Yevki laughed.

"Nice," said Yevki, clearly enjoying this far too much. He walked up to the prone Khiy. From his pocket he removed a small medical scanner which he ran over the Corpus officer. "Still breathing."

Teso and Veko followed him.

"Right butt cheek," said Teso, reaching down to pull the now empty dart out of Khiy.

"That was an easy shot," said Veko. "He was barely moving. Yevki could have made that shot and Yevki can't hit a sleeping Grineer from two yards."

Yevki glowered.

"Come on," he reached down to pick up Khiy and sling him over his shoulders. "Lets get him to medical. I need to monitor his response to this sedative. Make sure it isn't too strong and he goes into respiratory distress."

"Wait, you said nothing about this possibly killing Khiy," said Veko, now looking very worried. "Commander Teko will kill us if we kill Khiy.

"I shot him," said Teso, looking at his rifle in horror. "I killed Lieutenant Commander Khiy."

"You did not kill Lieutenant Commander Khiy." Yevki sighed. "He should be fine but just in case." He tossed a medical scanner to Veko. "Use this to monitor his vital signs. An alarm will start if they drop too low."

Veko nodded, flipped on the device and pointed it at Khiy. It chirped softly.

"He's drooling on you," said Teso suddenly, pointing at Yevki's left arm.

"What?" Yevki turned to look at where Teso was pointing. At where Khiy's head was slumped against him and the line of saliva dripping from his open mouth all over Yevki's sleeve.

"Profit Khiy!" Yevki tried to shift the officer, but only managed to make it worse.

"This thing takes pictures, right?" sniggered Veko.

"Taking embarrassing pictures of an unconscious patient goes against the terms of my employment as a medical officer," said Yevki in a very official tone.

"But I am not a medical officer," said Veko.

"Third button to the left."
