.:No More Goodbyes:.

This is my very first Escaflowne fanfic. This is dedicated to Meggy who was as depressed as me about what happened in the end of the 'vision of escaflowne' series. It's a short, alternate ending for the show(you all knew this was coming!). Oh, I am fully aware that the begining doesn't match up with the actual script, so don't email me and tell me this. Oh, extra note, the title has nothing to do with the fic, I came up with it first and then I changed what the fic was about! Sorry for the confusion (if there was any).

"I really love it here in Gaea."
Van smiled sadly down at Hitomi. "We'll always be together. Every time we think of one another, we'll be together."
"Oh Van" Hitomi said as she looked up at him, tears running down her face. "I'll never forget you" she said, burring her face in his sholder. Van put his arms around his love, holding her close.
"I'll never forget you either Hitomi" he said as he began to raise the energist up. "I love you" he added softly in her ear as the pillar of light appeared.
Hitomi's eyes widened. In a moment she knew what she wanted to do. She raised her hand up to Van's, covering the energist. The light pillar stopped and disapeared.
Van looked down at her, surprise written over his face.
"W-what?" he stuttered. Hitomi smiled and kissed a surprised Van on his lips softly.
"I want to stay here...with you" she said softly. Van's face broke out into a smile. He swung her up into his arms and began to spin her around. After he put her down he pulled her into a warm hug. Slowely he pulled away. Hitomi, emidiatly feeling the loss, pouted, but soon stopped when he placed his mouth on hers.
"Van...Hitomi?" they heared Merle call out to them. With a groan from Van they broke apart. Merle, unaware of what she had come into, bounded up to the couple and eveloped Hitomi into a hug.
"What are you still doing here? I thought you were going back to the Mystic Moon and I saw the light pillar and then I saw it disapear and then I came here and then you were still here and..."
"Slow down Merle! Breath." Van said as he put his arm around Hitomi's waist. Hitomi snuggled into his arms.
"I'm staying here Merle...if you'll ahve me" she said shyly, blushing. Van gave her 'the look'.
"Of course we'll have you...I love you Hitomi." hitomi looked up into Van's eyes, tears welling in her own. As their lips were about to touch, Merle cleared her throat, loudly. Arms still around Hitomi, Van chuckled into her hair.
"Lets go back to Faneila" he said outloud, guiding Hitomi out of the clearing with Merle tagging along behind them.

10 years later
"Mommy! Folken was pulling my hair!"
"Was not! Eriya's lying!"
"Stop it you two!" Hitomi chidded her two children. She smiled. "Why don't you two go see what Allen is doing?" Folken and Eriya's faces lit up and soon they were off to find Allen.
Suddenly a pair of strong arms enveloped her.
"That was really mean. Those two will pester him the rest of the day."
Hitomi smiled as she snuggled into her husbands embrace.
"I love you" she whispered. Van smiled.
"I love you too, your majesty" he whispered back.
"Get off that Eriya!! Stop that Folken!!" The couple smiled as they heard Allen yell. Van leaned down and pressed his lips to Hitomi's, the world melting around them.
