Disclaimer: I don't own Doctor Who.
"Hello there, Rose."
Rose's eyes widened in surprise as a soft gasp escaped her. The young woman was astounded by the sight of who was in front of her. Someone who she never believed she would ever see again.
There before the blonde, gazing towards her with a warm heartfelt expression, was the Doctor.
"Oh!" Rose clasped a hand to her heart as she felt it racing inside her chest. "I can't believe it's you!"
The Doctor shrugged, smiling.
"I thought I'd never see you again." A smile crept onto Rose's face, which was filling up with delight. "You don't know how much I've missed you."
Warmth filled the Doctor's gaze over hearing his old friend's words. It highly moved him to hear her speak of him in such a wistful way. He had missed her dearly too. He was very happy to get to see her again.
"Since we've parted, you've never left my mind - or my heart." Rose pressed her hand closer to her chest as her eyes twinkled at the one before her. "How could I possibly forget you with your adorable face, your sweet voice and your amazing eyes."
The doctor's smile grew. He couldn't deny that he was extremely good-looking. It was only natural that the pretty young lady he had journeyed with through time couldn't possibly resist him.
"I just want to hug you…" Rose whispered adoringly. "And never let go…"
"Well then…" The Doctor nodded. "Go right ahead, Rose Tyler."
With her face brightening up in all he delight, Rose began to run forward.
The Doctor grinned. He opened up his arms, ready to catch the beautiful girl who was sprinting towards him. After all this time of being apart, He was eager to embrace his former companion and shower her with affection…
…only for Rose to run straight past him. His smile disappeared as he swung around in his confusion - to see her embracing who had been standing behind him all this time.
"I've missed you, K9!"
The Doctor's jaw dropped. He couldn't believe that all those wistful words his old friend had been speaking - had been directed to his robotic canine companion. She hadn't batted an eyelid to him. He had finally found his way back into her life - and all she cared about being reunited with was his computerised pooch.
"I am happy to see you, Mistress!" K9 bleeped cheerfully, his ears rotated while his tail jerked to and fro as if wagging in his joy. "I am one very happy doggy!"
The Doctor clenched his fist bitterly. "And I am one very mad Doctor…"
Still ignoring the Time Lord who she had once been close to, Rose went down on her knees in front of K9. She used her hands to affectionately rub the back of the robot's head as if he were a real dog. She smiled at him as she planted a small kiss on his nose.
"I love you, K9."
K9's ears spun again. He was extremely happy at the pretty girl's adoring words towards him.
"Affirmative, Mistress!"
The end.
