A Part of Heero's Past

A Part of Heero's Past

Disclaimer:  Ray: I'm not gonna say it.

                    Lawyer: But you have to.

                    Ray: If it's so important you say it.

                    Lawyer: :::sigh::: Fine, fine. She doesn't own Gundam Wing.

          A girl about 15 was running down the streets of the Sanc kingdom. Once she was sure she had lost the two guards following her she slowed down to a jog. She quickly came upon a telephone booth. Stepping inside she placed a collect call to the Sanc Palace where she knew Heero Yuy, Gundam pilot 01, was staying.

          "Who shall I say is calling?" the operator asked.

          "Tell him it's the cat," she answered.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~At The Sanc Palace~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
          Heero Yuy sat cleaning his gun wit Duo Maxwell chattering beside him. It was After Colony 197 and peace was finally achieved. Just then a butler came in.
          "Mr. Yuy you have a collect call. The operator says it's from 'the cat'. Are you go…" The butler didn't have time to finish because Heero immediately dropped his gun and ran past the butler to the phone. Duo just stared, blinked, and then ran after him.
          "Koneko is that you?" Heero asked.
          "Yes it's me, so I see you've got a new name?" A girl with brown hair slightly past her shoulders, and blue eyes a couple shades lighter than Heero's appeared on the screen.
          "Yeah. Where are you, what happened?" he asked, worry drenching his voice at her appearance. She had a gash on her right cheek and was holding a bleeding arm.
          "I'm here in Sanc on Peacecraft drive. (AN: Original huh?) I just escaped from the lunatic who kidnapped me two years ago," she said through clenched teeth.
          "I'll be right there, don't go anywhere unless you have to alright?" He said. His voice no longer held he monotone he normally had. Duo was watching everything, completely shocked at how much emotion the 'Perfect soldier' was showing.
          "All right, bye tenshi," she teased.
          "Don't call me that, Bye koneko," he said and cut the transmission.
          "Come on Duo, and close your mouth," he ran out with Duo close behind. Just as they were about to get a car, Wufei, Trowa, and Quatre pulled up. Heero opened the driver's side door, and pushed Quatre to the back as Duo got in and drove off.
          "Yuy what was that all about?" yelled Wufei.
          "Hn." was all he said.
          "Some chick called and Heero's gonna pick her up. She looked pretty beat up, but she was still hot," Duo said.
          "Shut your trap Duo. Don't ever call her a chick or hot," Heero warned.
          "Fine, fine. Who is she anyway?" Duo asked.
          "Her name is Rachel,"
          "Do you know her well?" asked Quatre.
          "You could say that."
          "She's probably his girlfriend, he called her some weird name in Japanese," Duo stated. He found a gun in his face.
          "She's not my girlfriend you baka." Heero growled, never taking his eyes off the road.
          "Gees, calm down," Heero suddenly put up his gun, brought the car to a stop, and ran to the phone booth across the street. The others quickly followed suit.
          "Koneko! Why didn't you go to a hospital?" Heero scolded as he picked her up.
          "I don't know where one is," she replied. Heero carried her to the van and placed her in the back while the others just stared.
          "So that's the weak onna," Wufei was suddenly looking down the barrel of a gun.
          "Don't ever call her weak. She has a gun shot wound in her arm, a gash on her right cheek, possibly a few broken ribs, and has managed to run here and contact me. So, I repeat, don't ever call my sister weak!!" Heero yelled. By the look on his face he was really angry.
