"Keiwa!"

Sara abruptly sat up from her bad as she called for her brother's name. She had one very strange dream…

What was the dream again?

"Eh, tears?"

Sara touched her face, and indeed tears were coming out of her eyes for no reason at all. She immediately wiped them away with her clothes but more tears were coming out of her eyes and they seemed uncontrollable.

"Why?" Sara sniffled.

Sara tried many things to keep herself from crying but to no avail. The only thing she could do was to wait for the tears to stop, which they did.

Sara shook her head as she stood up and try to start her day when a phone on her nightstand caught her eye.

"Keiwa's phone?"

"Th-the a-ans-answers a-are on m-my ph-phone."

"Wha-"

Cautiously, Sara picked up her brother's phone. She didn't know what she was trying to find, or what the answers Keiwa was referring to in his phone.

Sara checked everything on her brother's phone: last SNS updates; search history, which contained things about how to use a crossbow or even how guns work; videos he recently watched, still more on weapons and...

Also martial arts?

What mess did her brother get into?

Nevertheless, Sara continued searching on her brother's phone. She didn't know but, the one thing she hasn't checked was the phone's gallery.

She gulped as if fearing what she would find inside the gallery.

Sara entered her brother's phone gallery, and the latest entries were video files of his brother facing the phone's front camera.

Sara opened one video file after another when she came across one video file in particular.

"Nee-chan, if you're watching this, I'm afraid I may have lost the game and died."

A monster was preparing to attack Sara's immobile form when a man with a raccoon helmet pushed the monster away. The man immediately helped her get up and assisted her in running away when the man suddenly pushed her aside and was hit by an attack. sending him flying towards a nearby post.

The man's suit, for lack of a better term, vanished and revealed the identity of the man who assisted her.

The man's identity was Keiwa Sakurai, her younger brother.

"Keiwa?!" Another suited person, this time with a cat-themed helmet, charged at the monsters responsible for attacking her, for harming her little brother.

"Keiwa, what's wrong."

"N-nee-chan."

"Keiwa, we need to get you to the hospital."

Keiwa's response was to smile.

"N-nee-nee-ch-chan, th-the a-ans-answers a-are in m-my ph-phone."

Keiwa struggled to hand his phone to his sister and managed to accomplish one final task.

Suddenly her brother was obscured in red and purple smoke before completely vanishing from Sara's arms.

"Mission Failed."

Sara suddenly remembered her brother's final moments in her dream. She may have unconsciously suppressed the memory or dream, due to how painful it was, but…

Sara could only do nothing but sob on her bed.

Keiwa was her rock.

Keiwa was the one who grounded her after losing their parents.

And now Keiwa was gone.

And according to the video files, she won't even have the luxury of burying her brother.

No!

Sara has to be strong.

She will join this Desire Grand Prix and wish for her brother back.

Sara stood up and wiped her tears away. She had work to do, she will wait for the day when she'd be invited into the Desire Grand Prix, until then, she needs to learn how to fight.

"Keiwa, nee-chan promises to bring you back," Sara wiped the fresh tears off of her face. "Nee-chan will bring you back."

Sara left her bedroom with a determined look as Keiwa's smiling face faded from the phone as it turned off from being idle for too long.

A/N: If it's not obvious, the story ignores some of the rules of the DGP like only remembering when you touch your ID core. However, there is a loophole, Keiwa was already remembering the events of the previous Desire Grand Prix before he even touched his ID core so I'm banking on that.
