Aoko sighed as she stared down her sister. Touko's smug expression was not helping her keep her cool.

"Touko...sis...I really hope you've considered my offer. I genuinely thing it's the best way forward, for all of us."

"Of course you'd say that." Touko said, not even bothering to hide her bitterness. "After all, you always know best, don't you?"

"Touko, if not for yourself, think about the people around you. Shiki, Mikiya, Azaka...they'd all be better off pursuing their education at the Clock Tower and deciding things from there. You won't even have to go your separate ways. You can start a new business together. A legitimate business."

Touko bitterly chuckled, causing Aoko to wince.

"This is truly impressive. Using my own family against me as a bargaining chip? You really are a shrewd girl, aren't you? As should be expected from a magus."

"I'm trying to protect them, Touko. I know you care about them, and you don't want anything bad to happen to them. And the best way to ensure that is-"

"I'm not your charity case, sister, and I'm certainly not your slave. You have no business ordering me around."

Aoko sighed, her gaze hardening.

"I know you, Touko. And I know that whatever you're planning will result in enough death and destruction to force my hand in dealing with you...less pleasantly. I don't want that. I have no interest in dragging out our blood feud, so please, let's just put a stop to it here and now."

"Oh, we'll put a stop to it alright. I promise you, Aoko, that you'll never see me again after today. You won't have the slightest clue where I am. And the same goes for my family. I'll do everything in my power to protect them from you."

"Protect them? I'm the one trying to keep them out of danger!"

"And take away their freedom in the process! I know who you are, Aoko, I remember what you did to me!"

"What I did to you...? Touko, I haven't done anything-"

"You cut me out. You robbed me of my birthright, my family's legacy. You took it all for yourself!"

"That can't be how you see it. That can't be how you remember it. You were there, Touko, you were there with me!"

"You inherited the Aozaki legacy while I was cast out and forgotten!"

"You left...I was a kid, Touko! I was a kid! I didn't know that our grandfather would make me the successor! I was just as shocked as you! And then you just walked away, without a word! Without even saying anything to me! What was I supposed to do, just let our family secrets fall into the wrong hands?"

"So that's your excuse, is it? Your excuse for building your fortune off the Aozaki name? Your excuse for stealing the title of Blue from me?"

"I did no such thing! I haven't stolen a single thing from you, sis! I would never do that! I'd never..."

"Such moving words indeed, coming from the mouth of the little rich girl who keeps adding to her millions."

"Touko...please...you can't honestly believe that! I...I don't even know what to say to you..."

Touko's vicious glare left no question in Aozaki's mind. Her own sister, her flesh and blood, hated her. And there was nothing Aoko could do to change that.

"I feel so sorry for you, sis."

Touko leaned forward, and Aoko realized that if there weren't any witnesses around, Touko would've definitely tried to kill her.

Instead, Touko's lips curled into a snarl, as she said,

"Fuck. You."

Aoko got up without another word and rushed out of the diner.
