Kayura walked into the dimly lit room. A recent dream was
on her mind. She wasn't who she appeared to be. These haunting dreams
were driving her insane. But noone knew that but Talpa. Evil
Talpa who had ruined her life since she was eight. And still was.

A blonde haired 5 year old walked into the kitchen. Her mom
had sent her to fill the bucket with water for the third time that day.
The little girl left the bucket there and was about to retreat to her
room when,

"And where do you think your going, Amy?" A high pitched
voice called to her. The sound was like fingernails on a chalkboard to
the girl.

The blonde turned around and sighed, "No where, mother."

"Thats what I thought! Now you still have to feed all the
animals and scrub the floor."

"Yes, mother." Amy said this with a bit of an attitude that she
hoped her mother didn't realize. If her mother did, she would surely
get beat.

"Run along then." Her mother didn't catch it, so Amy ran out
the door to feed the chickens. My mom only treats me like a
worthless slave! Why do I have to put up with this! I am the
granddaughter of the Ancient One after all, she thought angrily in
her head. She dare not speak her thoughts, everyone told her not to.
But, Amy was diffrent from the other children of the Ancient Clan.
She didnt want to be satisfied with farmlife. She wanted power, like
her grandfather. Her mother didn't inherit it so maybe she would.
Little did she know although she showed no signs of power then, in
16 years she would be the most feared person in the universe.

Amy's thirteenth birthday was a week away, and she wasn't
the only one not looking foward to it.

"Don't expect any presents this year, girl." Her father told her
the night before her birthday.

"I never do, father," was her response. But it was true. She
hadnt gotten a birthday present in 9 years. Amy didnt care though. If
they started with her on her birthday she would....Suddenly, there
was a knock on the front door. She rested her head against her
bedroom door to hear better.

"Oh, hello Ancient One, wont you come in?" Her mother's voice
was muffled but she could still make out every word.

"Alright, but I cannot stay long. I must warn you. I have two
swords that belong to the Twilight Angel."

"The Twilight Angel? Isn't she the one that will destroy the
village?" Her father must have entered the room. There was a hint of
fear in his voice.

"Yes, my son, it is. And I have reason to believe that Amy will
become her if she is given these swords. We must keep them away
from her at any cost."

" No, no, you must be kidding. That girl has never shown any
sign of power at all. What makes you think that she will be that
powerful." She noticed that even when talking to her own
grandfather he didn't use her name or even call her his daughter. It
was as if he didn't care for her in the least. I'll show him, she
thought, I will show them all! No one in this family, no one in this
village understands me! No one even cares for me. With agile steps,
she climbed out her window and ran toward her friend's house.
