BPOV

It had been four months since Tanya's accident and everything had changed since then.

Edward had become a shadow of himself. He talked about nothing but work, and he worked harder than before. He hardly talked or socialized with anybody.

His family was really worried about him. Everyone tried to make efforts to make him happy, but nothing seemed to change anything. He said he didn't need anyone's help and he was doing just fine.

"Hey, I'm going for Bowling with Riley and friends. Would you like to join?" I asked him on one Friday evening.

He smiled in return.

"What?" I smiled back.

"I didn't realize you like to get defeated again and again," he chuckled.

"Shut up! Do you still remember that?" I said embarrassingly, "C'mon... I was a kid at that time."

"An overconfident kid, you mean?" he laughed.

My heart skipped a beat to see him laugh. I didn't realize until that point how important his smile was to me!

"Shut up!" I smiled again.

The incident that he was talking about was the moment I had realized I had a crazy crush on him!

"Bella is really good at this," Alice said, "She can easily beat you."

Edward looked at me and rolled his eyes.

"Yes, I am really good at this," I said confidently, "I can beat anyone."

"We want to challenge you," Emmett, their younger brother, said.

"Em... Alice..." he sighed, "I really don't want to do this."

"Are you scared?" Alice asked.

He rolled his eyes.

"Why am I doing this?" he muttered as we started the 'competition'.

He was so elegant, so perfect! It's like he was flying when he was bowling. And the way he roamed his hand in his hair, my God! He was perfect! I couldn't understand why my heart was beating so fast!

"Bella, what's wrong with you?" Alice said with disbelief, "Why are you playing so bad?"

"C'mon..." Edward said to me as he smirked, "I thought you were good at this."

"I..." I stuttered and blushed unlike ever before.

"I'm better than before," I said, "I bet I can beat you now."

"Well, I'm sure you can... But I'd like to keep my winning record intact," he winked, "So, I'll kindly pass the offer. Please carry on without me," he smiled.

I didn't know what was wrong with me, but I felt something changing inside me at that moment.

It's like I was that teenager all over again, and that scared me unlike anything.

"Okay, I'll see you on Monday then," I said and left as quickly as I could.
