'Till You Left
Author's Note: this is the first of a set of poems taking place when Hitomi left Gaea the first time (not when she left for good!) Part One is Van's view... enjoy, read and review!
I awake from a dream
One I've had before
You were there with me
Again
A tear clouds my eye
'Till I can no longer see
But your beautiful face
Is still there
Your eyes that reflected
The skies themselves
Your hair that shone gold
In the burning sun
In this war-torn world
Where all compassion dies
Somehow I found love
In you
But in my heart
Beneath barriers of hate
I didn't realize I loved you
'Till you left
It hurts to remember
You were always there
Standing beside me
Until we reached the end of the road
Through pain and loneliness
You never stayed away
But then there was that day
You vanished
I didn't know what love was
'Till you left
And then my soul broke
In half
One half stayed with me
Alone and barren
The other was sent with you
Forever
If you can hear me
Wherever you may be
Please come back...
To me
So I can finally say
Those words I couldn't use before
Aishiteru...
I love you...
Forevermore.
Author's Note: Okay! That's Van... Hitomi's poem is next! Review to let me know how it is so far!
