Tears On A Heart
a lovelorn poem by Rynde

You didn't think that I would mind

When she stole your heart after you stole mine

You didn't think that I would be hurt

When I got your attention but she caused its divert

You didn't think that I would cry

When I saw you two holding hands, strolling by

Tears torn out of a heart of silk

Fall down my face like droplets of milk

I simply split into two at the sight of you

Presenting her a necklace with pearls red and blue

Should I stay or should I run?

Should I fight or give up my loved one?

It was beauty, her intelligence, her everlasting charm

Only worthy to captivate you, to forever keep you warm

A matchmade in heaven, that's what you two are

A perfect pair, I admit softly and sadly, by far

How can I break up two people so compartible?

How can I accept the fact that I'm incomparable?

I treasure the moments when we were together walking

Till she came along and she did the talking

The days when we smiled, just the two of us alone

Have vanished and faded and now are all gone

The party when you two danced

I was in the background, not giving you a glance

All this sorrow, all this grief, all this pain

I have suffered

To no one have I ever muttered

All my true feelings for you my dear

Told no one have I ever,

But underneath shed a tear...

At the end of this solemn, grave, memory etched path was a cliff with a view of the enchanted lands far away. The girl took one last look back and walked into those enchanted lands, never to come back again...]
