Norway, 1942...
An attack by, apparently, Nazis occurs, a sergeant enters a temple where he speaks with someone called the Knight of the Grail, but before revealing everything...a crane collapses the doors!...killing the sergeant, a tank and a car arrive...it is S.P.E.C.T.R.E, an organization led by Colonel Ernst Vogel. The S.P.E.C.T.R.E soldiers enter the temple, looking to open a sarcophagus, right in front of the Grail Knight.
Colonel Ernst Vogel: "It took me a long time to find this place, the result is satisfactory... raise it."
The soldiers raise the Knight to his feet.
Colonel Ernst Vogel: "Although you look rather old-fashioned, we are both men of great vision."
Grail Knight: "In no way are you and I the same."
Colonel Ernst Vogel: "Indeed, but what for some is a silly superstition, for me, and for you...it seems like a science."
Grail Knight: "What you pursue is a myth."
Colonel Ernst Vogel: "Someone who calls himself the Knight of the Grail tells me?... Then why do you hide it?".
Colonel Vogel removes the door of the sarcophagus, finds the skeleton of an ancient medieval warrior, holding...the philosopher's stone!
Colonel Ernst Vogel: "The Philosopher's Stone, one of the many treasures of the mighty Dumbledore."
Or so he pretends, drops it and it breaks.
Colonel Ernst Vogel: "Too valuable to be entombed, yet it's here, isn't it?...I feel its power."
Grail Knight: "I can't help you."
Colonel Ernst Vogel: "Maybe not, but you can save your village, surely you have friends, grandchildren, of course...they don't have to pay with the consequences."
The colonel orders to turn a tank pointing to the village, then Vogel sees on a wall a kind of mural carved in stone.
Colonel Ernst Vogel: "There, the four houses of Hogwarts, Hufflepuff, Slytherin, Ravenclaw and of course...Gryffindor."
Ernst analyzes the figure of the lion and presses it... a drawer opens, Vogel takes it out, opens it... and it contains the true Philosopher's Stone.
Colonel Ernst Vogel: "The Führer loves wasting time mining dust and finding trinkets in the desert, you've never seen anything like this, have you?"
Knight of the Grail: "It was not made for mortal eyes, much less for common subjects."
Colonel Ernst Vogel: "I agree."
Ernst takes the crate with the stone.
Colonel Ernst Vogel: "Open fire."
Grail Knight: "You scoundrel! ... he has no idea of the control, of the power that he carries, it will burn his soul."
Colonel Ernst Vogel: "I assure you, I saw the infernal flames closer than anyone."
Vogel kills the Knight by shooting him, at the same time, a massacre ensues as Vogel wipes off his bloodstained S.P.E.C.T.R.E insignia.
