JESTER

A SpongeBob Parody of Joker starring Squidward Tentacles

Dedicated to the amazing actor Joaquin Phoenix

Author's Note: This SpongeBob parody of Joker is a spinoff of my other SpongeBob parody of Batman called The Bat Sponge. At the end of The Bat Sponge, a multiverse of parallel worlds is revealed to exist. Therefore, the Squidward and other SpongeBob characters in this story exist in another parallel world and are different from their counterparts in The Bat Sponge.

Squidward Tentacles, an octopus living in the underwater city of Bikini Bottom full of many sea creatures, could never really find happiness in life. In the city of Bikini Bottom, there is huge wealth inequality. The wealthiest class consists mainly of crabs, the middle class consists mainly of regular fish, and the lowest and poorest class consists mainly of clownfish. While clownfish do the most menial labor jobs and circus jobs, most other fish and sea creatures view them as clowns and mindless servants due to their low socioeconomic status and clowny names, resulting in occasional labor strikes and social unrest from the resentful and oppressed clownfish. One current and horrific labor strike by the clownfish working for the sewers results in raw sewage piling in the streets, causing Bikini Bottom to get the nickname Dirty Bottom and to have a very dirty and smelly environment. Often the regular fish police harass clownfish on the streets due to the prevalent prejudices against them, causing many clownfish to hate the police and some of them to turn to gangs and crime as rejection of their unfair society.

As an octopus baby, Squidward had a fat head that was too big for his body, so his octopus mother often dropped him as a baby, resulting in many head injuries and causing him to have lifelong depression and an inappropriate laughing tic as he got older. His octopus father often teased his only son for wanting to be a fruity artist when he grew up instead of wanting to have a more masculine career in sports or business. Eventually, his father abandoned him and his mother for a hot squid coworker, causing the boy Squidward to grow up without a father figure. His fat octopus mother often criticized Squidward for being too thin since he had an eating disorder due to his parental issues, including his mother's neglect, father's verbal abuse and abandonment, and their divorce. Squidward lived with his mother most of his young life until he became an adult and she got too old, senile, and crazy and had to be put in the city's Wacko Asylum for her attacking neighborhood fish children playing on her lawn without permission. Squidward visits her once a week at the mental hospital since she's the only person he really knows, but she often makes him feel worse about himself by delusionally claiming he was put on the earth by the god of the sea Neptune to make fish happy and to live a happy life.

Squidward wishes he could be a famous artist (painter, sculptor, interpretive dancer, etc.), but he does not have the skills to succeed. He has dropped out of many art schools, where many fish teachers and students ridiculed his art that they did not like, and his art work has been rejected by many art museums and operas, whose managers likewise rejected him as a hack and his work as garbage. From the time he was a little octopus child to his college dropout days, Squidward was often bullied in both art and regular school by big and mean fish children. He often fantasized about killing his bullies with fishing hooks, but sadly he was too weak and scared to ever try to get revenge on them. The worst bully he had to deal with was the fish Flats the Flounder, who physically and verbally assaulted him many times for being a fruity artist during his elementary school and high school days. Thus, Squidward has never had any true friends since the constant bullying made him hate most fish and become a very introverted loner. As a result of his academic and artistic hardships, he makes art only as a hobby and is disappointed that he cannot make it into a career, which would give his life true happiness and meaning. His artwork often depicts himself dressed in many clown and jester costumes since he is somewhat narcissistic and he wishes he could be truly happy like clowns and jesters appear to be all the time, and his artwork often incorporates themes of gallows humor and clownfish dressed as circus clowns due to Squidward's unique sense of dark humor as a response to his tragic life. His lifelong rival that he envied in school was the octopus Squilliam Fancyson, who succeeded at everything that Squidward failed at and who became a successful and wealthy artist with his own TV show, "The Fancy Art Hour with Squilliam Fancyson."

Squidward also has never been able to find true love. He has had countless crushes on attractive female squids and octopi, but all of his crushes found him to be physically ugly due to his fat nose, bald head, and scrawny physique. They also found him to be way too introverted, nerdy, and even creepy due to his bad pickup line jokes and weird art. Because of the constant rejection by cephalopod women, Squidward's self-esteem becomes very low, and he becomes a loner incel. In addition, Squidward becomes so lonely that he literally kisses his pillow at night imagining he's kissing his crushes. He sometimes daydreams at work about asking out and becoming boyfriends with the few attractive octopus and squid customers, but he is too afraid to ever act on his feelings due to so many past rejections. Without someone to love and be loved by romantically in life, Squidward cannot experience the joy of love to give his life meaning.

Due to his inability to succeed at art, Squidward reluctantly has to work at the Krusty Krab fast food restaurant as cashier. As cashier, Squidward has sometimes been physically assaulted by crazy and needy fish customers, more regularly been insulted with every curse word in the urban dictionary by rude fish customers, and never been shown much kindness and decency by the sea creature customers exploiting his cheap labor. Often fish children customers at the restaurant insult Squidward as a "joke," "clown," and "loser." Likewise, his boss, the greedy and wealthy crab Mr. Krabs, pays him minimum wage, cusses him out like a sailor mouth whenever his cash register is off by a few cents at the end of the day, and makes him dress like a circus clown on weekends to entertain fish children with balloon animals, dancing, and jokes. Just as his art hobby brings his temporary joy and relief from his tragic life, his work as a clown often makes his job a little more enjoyable for him (at least when the fish kids don't throw tomatoes at him when they think he stinks). To make matters worse, Squidward's coworker, the frycook and sponge SpongeBob SquarePants, constantly annoys Squidward with really bad jokes (even worse than Squidward's worst jokes) and makes Squidward's time at work even more miserable by being a complete fool and bugging him every chance he gets.

To make matters even worse, his dead end job forced Squidward to only be able to afford the only home in Bikini Bottom that no one else ever wanted, an Easter Island tiki head next to the two worst neighbors under the sea, SpongeBob (who lives in a pineapple under the sea) and his fat and mentally retarded starfish friend Patrick Star (who literally lives under a rock). His two stupid neighbors always make too much noise, act obnoxiously everyday, play annoying games and music day and night, and constantly harass Squidward since they cannot accept his rejection of their friendship since he does not like any of the things that they like. Thus, poor Squidward cannot even get a break from SpongeBob in his home neighborhood.

Because Squidward lives paycheck to paycheck, he cannot even afford a boat car, causing him to take the boat bus every day and night to commute to work and to travel around town. Often the buses are literally packed with smelly anchovies and sardines who make weird beeping sounds in their native fish language and who smell worse than the worst body odor. As a result, Squidward really does not enjoy his daily commute.

When he isn't working and doing art, Squidward spends his remaining and rare spare time at home. Due to his loneliness, Squidward often reads superhero comics, especially fictional stories about Aquaman and Batman, even though his favorite comic book character is the clown villain, the Joker. Squidward often wishes he could be as feared and respected as the Joker. He also has one sided conversations with and plays card games with his inanimate imaginary friend, a clown doll he has had since childhood that he calls "Bozo." During the card games, he always plays with the Joker cards because he loves the chaos that they bring to the ordinary rules of the card games since Joker cards can be anything you want them to be.

Unlike his "friend" Bozo, everyone else also makes fun of Squidward for his weird laugh tic that causes his fat nose to move up and down and inflate and deflate like an accordion. Squidward often laughs at his own dark jokes, causing others to laugh at him, not with him.

Because of his miserable childhood, parental relationship, school life, work life, city environment, nonexistent romantic life, deteriorating mental health, commute, and unfulfilled dreams, Squidward often fantasizes about jumping off the cliff where couples make out at night, Makeout Reef on the outskirts of Bikini Bottom. However, the little joy he gets from his art and "friendship" with his Bozo doll at home and the clown shows at the Krusty Krab, and his fear of pain and death, prevent him from taking his own life. Likewise, his delusional hope that one day he will become the best artist in the seven seas that everyone will finally respect and adore makes him think his future life will eventually make everything worth it.

To try to cure his incurable depression caused by both his bad life experiences and his mom dropping him too much as a baby, Squidward visits and spends what little spare money he has on therapy sessions with the little plankton, Doctor Peter Lankton. However, Doctor P. Lankton is actually a fraud and is really Sheldon Plankton, the plankton owner of the Chum Bucket restaurant, which is the rival fast food company to the Krusty Krab. Because Plankton hates Mr. Krabs' success and wants to steal the krabby patty secret formula to his burgers, Plankton pretends to be a psychiatrist in his spare time, hoping to lure the Krusty Krab employees SpongeBob and Squidward into fake hypnotherapy to try to hypnotize them to discover the secret formula. SpongeBob is happy with his life, so he does not seek Doctor P. Lankton's therapy services, unlike the miserable Squidward. Thus, Squidward does not really receive professional help from Doctor P. Lankton, who only gives Squidward cliche life advice and placebo drugs to "cure" his depression.

One morning, Squidward misses his bus, causing him to walk to work. During the walk, a stranger angel fish in a boat car uncharacteristically and friendly offers to give Squidward a ride. However, as soon as Squidward enters the boat car, the fish pulls out a harpoon revolver gun and robs Squidward of the little money he has before throwing him out of the boat car and speeding away. From this experience, Squidward feels the need to carry his own harpoon revolver gun for self-defense and so no one will think they can treat him like a clown anymore. That night after getting off from work, he goes to the city docks where clownfish gang members often toss their murder weapons into the waters. After seeing a clownfish toss one into the water and drive away, Squidward dives into the waters, retrieves the weapon, and takes it home with him. He secretly carries it wherever he goes to make him feel a little safer and more powerful. The next day, Squidward's lucky day finally arrives apparently when he meets a beautiful octopus female named Squilvia on the bus. She has a very similar personality to Squidward with plenty of dark humor. She becomes the first female to give him her phone number. Throughout the week, they have various dates around Bikini Bottom and at home, causing Squidward to experience some love and true happiness for the first time in his life.

However, Squidward's luck runs out when he accidentally drops his harpoon revolver gun from his clown costume during one of his clown shows at the Krusty Krab. The weapon frightens the fish children and loses the restaurant a lot of potential money during the aborted show, causing Mr. Krabs to fire Squidward. Although Squidward hated most of his work at the Krusty Krab, he is disappointed that he won't be able to do the clown shows anymore and fears unemployment that will make him even poorer than he already is. While riding a night bus home from his last day of work, Squidward, still wearing his clown makeup and costume, is confronted by a gang of flounder fish wearing clownfish masks. No one else is in the late night bus, except the cowardly anchovy driver who refuses to intervene. Suddenly, the leader of the gang takes off his mask to reveal he is Flats the Flounder, Squidward's lifelong bully and tormentor. Flats and his two gang friends mock and begin beating up Squidward. They take his Bozo the clown doll and break it into pieces. During the scuffle, the enraged Squidward finally manages to pull out his harpoon revolver gun, shoots and kills Flats with a deadly headshot, and shoots and kills the other two fish gang members who claim they were only joking and who beg him for mercy to no avail. The panicking anchovy driver screams, runs out of the bus, and promises he will call the police. Squidward chases after him and shoots him dead too for his cowardice and threat to reveal his murder crime. Hiding his harpoon gun back in his clothes and putting on one of the clownfish masks to hide his identity, Squidward runs back home across the empty night streets. When he gets home, his fear and panic turns to happiness and elation. A big creepy smile spreads across his face. He puts on his favorite opera song, which is one of the classic songs "Vesti La Giubba" from the clown opera "Pagliacci," and he dances and celebrates his vengeance against the dead bully Flats the Flounder. As he dances to the beautiful music, he puts on the clownfish mask and likes the way it looks on him. Later that night, Squilvia comes over and he makes sweet love to her for the first time.

The next day, the four murders of the three gang members and the bus driver are on the daily news. The fish news reporter, Perch Perkins, interviews fish living nearby the abandoned bus full of dead bodies. The few fish witnesses claim they only heard harpoon gunshots and saw a clownfish running from the scene in the darkness. Perch Perkins then interviews Mr. Krabs, who suddenly reveals that he is tired of crime caused by poor people, specifically clownfish, ruining Bikini Bottom. Mr. Krabs reveals he hates poor people like clownfish and refuses to serve their kind at the Krusty Krab. Hoping to make even more money for himself from a political campaign and office, Mr. Krabs announces that he will run for city mayor and make Bikini Bottom great again and make the middle class rich again through conservative trickle down economic policies so they never become poor clowns like clownfish. Mr. Krabs entrusts his loyal employee SpongeBob and his new employee Patrick with running the Krusty Krab during his political campaign. Mr. Krabs says he will make everyone richer and will rid the city of clowns, criminals, unions and labor strikes, and bums, especially clownfish. While many regular fish enthusiastically support Mr. Krabs' campaign, many clownfish worry that their lives will be even worse if Mr. Krabs becomes mayor, causing protests outside the Krusty Krab. Police fish, bribed by Mr. Krabs, attack and disperse the clownfish protestors. In response to his rival, Plankton announces he will run for city mayor against him. Although Plankton only wants to win so he can pass a law requiring fast food restaurants to reveal their secret ingredients to the public, which will finally reveal the krabby patty secret formula to him, Plankton pretends to be supporting the workers' rights and civil rights and economic good of clownfish and the end of the social and economic inequality in the sea city through liberal economic policies. Plankton blames the gross inequality in Bikini Bottom on rich fat cats like Mr. Krabs and their greed. Many clownfish support Plankton's campaign for mayor, but most other sea creatures support Mr. Krabs instead. Squidward watches the news with amusement, knowing he will get away with the murders since everyone thinks a clownfish did it and happily surprised that he accidentally started a clownfish political movement.

Shortly thereafter, Squidward goes to a therapy session with Doctor Peter Lankton. Squidward claims that he feels much better about himself now that he has a girlfriend and got revenge on someone. However, Squidward mentions that he's beginning to suffer headaches and fits of uncontrollable laughter more often than usual, probably due to being dropped so much as a baby. Squidward wants the doctor to increase his medications so his life can continue getting better. But Plankton, due to being busy with his new political campaign, finally drops the charade and reveals that Doctor Peter Lankton was not real and Squidward cannot be cured from his mental ailments by his placebo drugs, causing Squidward to leave in despair that things might get worse for him before they get better. Squidward becomes even more desperate when he realizes that his unemployment checks will soon end due to the crab city council deciding unemployed sea creatures are just lazy and should be able to find work without help. Despite several job interviews, Squidward is not hired since the fish interviewers find him to be too creepy with his laughing tic and dark humor. Despite his lack of a known criminal record, the fish interviewers notice a crazed look in his eyes that makes them think he's the kind of guy who probably murdered someone in his life and got away with it. Squidward then visits his mother who is wearing a straitjacket to protect herself and others from her at Wacko Asylum. His mother's mental health is deteriorating since she suffers delusions that everyone in the mental hospital are fish children who won't get off her lawn. In her asylum room, they watch the political news together, and she expresses her admiration of Mr. Krabs and the hope he brings of ridding the city of clownfish, whom she believes are solely responsible for the city's problems. She gets into an argument with Squidward when he insults Mr. Krabs as a greedy fat cat and wishes clownfish would put him six feet underground. Squidward blames Mr. Krabs for him losing his clown job, while his mother blames him for losing the job somehow. During the heated argument, his old fat octopus mother suffers a stroke from getting too upset, causing her to be put on life support.

When the city opera house holds auditions for paid actor and singer roles in their upcoming adaptation of the clown opera "Pagliacci," Squidward feels that this is his big break in life that will be his new career. He practices hard and arrives at the auditions in full clown costume and makeup. However, he suffers an involuntary laughing fit during the audition, causing him to fail miserably and to be booed off stage. He arrives home at night in despair with only Squilvia for comfort. He receives a knock at the door and answers it. Two fat tuna fish cops are outside his door. He nervously opens it and the fish cops ask him where he was on the night of the bus murders. Claiming he walked home that night because he missed his bus, Squidward laughs off their suspicions and reminds them that a clownfish committed the murders. The fish cops reveal their suspicions that someone stole one of the clownfish masks from the crime scene to pretend they were a clownfish to hide their true identity since one of the victims' masks was apparently missing from the crime scene. There were three gang members so there should have been 3 masks since some fish gangs wear clownfish masks to hide their true identities and frame clownfish for their crimes. Squidward plays dumb as the fish cops leave after telling him they looked into his background and past ties with dressing like a clown, riding buses home, and knowing Flats the Flounder, so if they can find enough evidence to tie him to the crimes, then they will charge him and get a search warrant for his home. Squidward has a laughing fit as he slams the door and the fish cop boat car drives away. Suddenly, there is another knock at the door. Squidward opens it and tells the cops to go away before he realizes that it is SpongeBob. SpongeBob asks Squidward if he would like to donate to Mr. Krabs' campaign for mayor to make up for being a bad employee at the Krusty Krab. Squidward calls SpongeBob an idiot for thinking he would donate to the campaign of someone who fired him. Suddenly suspicious that the cops interviewed SpongeBob to know about Squidward's background, Squidward asks SpongeBob if he's talked to the cops lately. SpongeBob reveals that they just had a few questions for him about his old coworker. In a fit of rage, Squidward suddenly tackles SpongeBob to the ground and begins strangling him with his tentacles. Squidward only stops when SpongeBob begins to turn blue and when SpongeBob's pet snail Gary arrives and begins barking at Squidward. Releasing his grip of SpongeBob, Squidward tells him to never bother him again. After slamming his door again, Squidward goes to bed. SpongeBob recovers his breath and thinks he should learn karate so he can defend himself if he ever needs to so that never happens to him ever again.

The next morning, Squidward watches morning TV. He accidentally puts on his rival Squilliam's TV show. Squilliam plays a recording of Squidward's awful audition for the clown opera, which Squilliam is a producer for. Squilliam, his octopus guests, and his fish audience laugh uncontrollably at Squidward. Squilliam compares Squidward to a stupid court "jester." Squidward feels violent hatred for Squilliam embarrassing him on national TV. Squidward visits his dying mother at the asylum again. He reveals his frustration that Squilliam thinks he's better than him, but he promises he will make Squilliam pay. His mother, knowing she doesn't have much longer to live, says she must confess something to him. She reveals to Squidward that she is actually not his real mother. When she gave birth to her baby, she thought he was ugly. So she found a cuter baby to take home without the fish doctors knowing. Eventually, she found out that her baby she gave up grew into the handsome and successful Squilliam, who is her real son, and the baby she took grew up into the ugly and unsuccessful Squidward, meaning Squidward's real parents are and should have been Squilliam's better and wealthier octopus "parents." His "mother" says that Squidward is like the opposite of the ugly duckling story since he became uglier as he got older instead of more beautiful like the ugly duckling. Squidward begins to laugh uncontrollably as he ironically realizes he could have been the successful one and Squilliam could have been the loser in life. His "mother" claims she regrets that decision she made since Squilliam would have been a better son. Driven crazy by her insult and the truth, Squidward unplugs her life support to swiftly and prematurely kill her.

After killing his fake mother, Squidward goes home where he knows his love Squilvia will be waiting for him. He goes inside and gives her a big hug. However, when he looks at a mirror next to them, he only sees himself hugging his pillow. The reflection in the mirror only shows himself and the pillow with no Squilvia in sight. Squidward suddenly realizes that he daydreamed his entire romantic relationship. Squilvia never existed. No one ever really loved him. Squidward begins breaking things in his home in rage until he sees the clownfish mask. Slipping the mask on, Squidward suddenly sees the funny side of his life. He realizes that his life is not really a tragedy, but it's actually a dark comedy. Squidward plays another "Pagliacci" song and dances to it as he celebrates that the wicked witch is dead.

The next day, which is Halloween, Squidward receives a phone call from Squilliam. Squilliam, unaware of the truth of his parentage, expresses his condolences for Squidward's mother's untimely passing. Squilliam claims that he wants to invite Squidward on the TV show for a Halloween special so he can do a clown standup comedy routine since his audience found Squidward's audition video to be so pathetic and funny. Squilliam promises he will pay Squidward to appear on his show since he knows Squidward is poor and unemployed like a loser. Devising a revenge plot, Squidward happily agrees to go on the show that night. Squilliam tells Squidward to wear a funny clown costume since it will be a Halloween special for the world under the sea to see. Squidward promises it will be a night no one will forget. He asks Squilliam for a small favor in return. He asks Squilliam to refer to him as "The Jester" during the show, to which Squilliam laughs and agrees. Squidward decides to embrace a new identity as "The Jester," which was the name Squilliam first referred to him as. Squidward paints clown makeup onto his clownfish mask and puts it on. He also puts on a medieval court jester costume, including a cap with ringing bells on it. Dressed as the Jester, Squidward dances down the street as he walks to the submarine subway station to ride it to the TV show studio in downtown Bikini Bottom. He passes by other people in Halloween costumes, who give him weird looks at his costume and dancing. However, as he dances down moving escalator stairs, the two fat tuna fish cops arrive behind him and tell him to halt in the name of the law and that they have a warrant for his arrest. Squidward panics and runs away toward the submarine subway station with the two fat tuna fish cops in pursuit. Squidward rushes onto a submarine subway train full of clownfish passengers. The cops enter the sub train with their harpoon guns drawn. However, the cop-hating clownfish passengers demand that the pigs leave. When one of the cops tries to shoot Squidward, Squidward does a Matrix-like dodge of the harpoon bullet, which hits and kills a nearby clownfish woman. Shocked by the murder, all the enraged clownfish passengers ambush the tuna fish cops, disarm them, and beat them to death with circus batons. Squidward the Jester maniacally laughs as the sub train reaches its destination and he leaves it with a big grin on his face.

Squidward arrives at the studio and Squilliam's TV show begins. Squilliam expresses his condolences to the police who were killed by clownfish at the sub train station as recently revealed on the news. Squilliam condemns the clownfish mob as a bunch of wild animals and wishes his rich friend Mr. Krabs good luck in his political election tomorrow. Squilliam claims Squidward is a dear old friend and that his clownfish jester costume is only for Halloween, not for political violence. Squilliam again plays the embarrassing video clip of Squidward's failed audition, causing everyone to laugh at Squidward again. After Squilliam introduces him and teases him for his silly look to the laughing audience, Squidward the Jester dances, laughs, thanks everyone for inviting him on the show, and then tells a joke to Squilliam.

Squidward pulls out a painting he made of the Big Bang creating the universe.

"Squilliam, why did people call it The Big Bang?"

"I don't know, Jester. Why did they call it The Big Bang?"

Squidward the Jester pulls out his harpoon gun and shoots Squilliam with a perfect deadly headshot, causing a big bang.

"That's why, you freaking clown!"

Squilliam's dead body slumps to the floor. The fish audience begins screaming and running away. Squidward the Jester wickedly laughs before admitting to everyone that he killed the four fish on the bus and that he was responsible for getting the pigs killed on the train. The villain gives a speech to Bikini Bottom. He praises clownfish as the real heroes of the city, who are finally ready to revolt against the unfair society and get revenge on everyone else for all the pain others have put them through. He says clownfish have had enough sorrow and suffering in life. It's time for them to have a night of happiness and fun. He urges them to kill Mr. Krabs before he ruins everything for them. He wishes everyone a Happy Halloween as he shoots the camera to end the live TV show. As a result of the killing, many clownfish are inspired to riot, attack the Krusty Krab, and assassinate Mr. Krabs. The many clownfish rioters, wearing clown makeup on their faces, overwhelm the police protecting Mr. Krabs at his Halloween donation party for his campaign. The Krusty Krab is destroyed, and Mr. Krabs is hanged to death on a large fishing hook by the clownfish mob. During the riot, SpongeBob's sponge parents (who supported SpongeBob and Mr. Krabs' political ambitions) are trampled to death by the clownfish mob. SpongeBob, using his new karate skills, was able to fight off some of the clownfish mob, but the sheer numbers overwhelmed him and forced him to retreat. Nearby in his Chum Bucket restaurant, Plankton knows he has no more political rivals with Mr. Krabs dead and celebrates his ultimate victory by stealing the now unguarded krabby patty secret formula. After arriving home, SpongeBob knows he will never forget his dead parents, that Halloween night, and his new enemy, Squidward the Jester. Breaking into Squidward's empty home next door, SpongeBob sees his Batman comic book featuring the Batman and Joker. Inspired by Batman, SpongeBob knows he must recover, train himself more in combat and ninja methods to become a superhero under the guidance of his friends the retired superheroes Mermaid Man and Barnacle Boy, and, when the time is right, become the bat-costume wearing superhero Bat Sponge to save his city whenever anarchy and lawlessness strike again. Eventually, the clownfish riots come to an end as the National Ocean Guard intervenes. Many lives are lost, especially as many rich crabs are killed by the clownfish mob. Many clownfish and Squidward the Jester himself are arrested and taken to Wacko Asylum.

Now that the Jester is incarcerated inside Wacko Asylum, a fish psychiatrist asks the laughing Squidward, who is wearing a straitjacket to protect others from him, what is so funny during a therapy session. Squidward replies:

"I just remembered a joke. It reminds me of my funny life. There were these two clownfish escaping an insane asylum one night. They climb up on the roof and just have to jump across to the next building to be free. The first clownfish jumps over without a problem. But the second clownfish is scared to make the jump. The first clownfish promises to turn on his flashlight, so the second clownfish can walk across the light beam to the other building. But the second clownfish asks the first one if he thinks he's crazy. He knows the first clownfish would just turn off the light when he was halfway across. HA HA HA!"
