Disconnected

Chapter Two

It was the next day with the temperatures in the upper forties for a change in December. Robert was able to plan his revenge on Richard.

He had asked his new friends from the prison to help him out with grabbing his subject since it was very early morning at the east end entrance from the highway and where Richard likes to sit down to rest before heading back inside the building to either work with his computer or meet with his wife Theresa for breakfast since her seating had been changed to second seating for all three of the meals.

Lionel and his burly friend were waiting behind the trees. While Richard had been working his way down the cement parking lot and road leading to the east end entrance and bench.

This is where he can unwind with his walking in order to loosen up his legs with the circulation and cramps caused by Parkinson's and other conditions.

Robert had been waiting for him sitting on the bench. Now Richard with his eyesight had thought it was another one of the residents that like to walk and rest on the same bench.

With his black walker with placing on the brakes. This is when he turned to see him with his own eyes and thought that it must have been some type of a vision from his Parkinson's.

He turned just prior to being hit over the head once again with a piece of wood. Robert had to catch him before falling to the cement ground. While Lionel and his friend came over to grab him by the shoulders having to be a big man both with height and most of all his weight.

They had a truck waiting for them on the side of the entrance. Even though they could be spotted very easily. Lionel had gone to get the black truck while Robert and the second man held Richard up until Lionel was able to pull the truck up by opening the back door.

Once the double doors were opened. All three of them had a hard time moving Richard into the back of the truck while making sure that his hands and legs were tied.

Plus Lionel had placed a white cloth over his eyes so as not to see where he was going in case he woke up during their travels to a small warehouse just outside of Yonkers.

"Has he settled gentlemen?" Robert needed to be asking the question as he was going to be the one to drive to the small warehouse that he was able to rent for the month for his own purposes.

"He is Robert, so let's get moving before someone is able to spot us?" Lionel noted with his order and having to be scared.

But in the meantime, Theresa back at their quarters was beginning to get worried about her husband since he had never taken this long to walk the grounds.

She was concerned and needed to speak with the supervisor down on the first floor to make her concerns in regard to her husband and his health conditions.

She had taken the elevator down to the first floor to make a complaint of sorts as Suzanne Lofton supervisor working at the Westchester Assisted Living faculty for the past eight years doing double work at the moment.

Suzanne was working at the front desk after taking over for the overnight shift. Theresa walked over to the desk with a scowl on her face as Suzanne looked up from her paperwork that needed to be signed.

"How can I help you, Theresa?" she was able to ask the question.

"Suzanne, I am concerned for my husband Richard hasn't come back from his walk down by the west end entrance. I am hoping that all is well with him Suzanne. Is it possible to send a security team over to the area to make sure he's actually alright?" she cried out with her response.

"I know this is not proper for the moment. But I will send two of the housekeeping and a security officer to check the area. I am thinking about the last time Richard had disappeared." she had gotten on the phone to call them to come over to the front desk.

Theresa says the following. "Thank you, for all of your help." she cried out going to sit down on one of the benches for now.

WEST END ENTRANCE

Sergeant Garrett, Louis, and Malcolm had been searching the area. When Malcolm was checking the bench to notice the blood on the cement and bench as if someone might of hit Richard over the head.

Along with the tire tracks that were no doubt made by some sort of a truck. Sergeant Garrett had called the two from housekeeping to show the tracks.

"We need to call in the police right now. Since I don't like this at all that maybe Richard might have been taken again from the faculty." Sergeant Garrett alluded to his assumption by getting onto the radio to have everyone alerted and including Suzanne at the front desk.

She had been listening to the call as she picked up the phone to call the Yonkers, police to send over the crime scene unit to make sure.

Theresa heard Suzanne talking to someone over the phone about when it comes to the police. She had gotten up from her chair to ask Suzanne for the truth.

"Suzanne, I want to know the truth. Is Richard gone once again?" she was having tears falling from both of her eyes to be extremely upset.

With the shake of her head with her own tears having to be close to Richard as with many others on the faculty. "I am afraid so Theresa. They found blood stains at the very same bench that you and Richard will stop off at on your walks.

"OMG! I do hope to god that Richard is not hurt badly this time around, Suzanne?" she paused for the moment all of a sudden feeling light-headed and a little bit dizzy.
