Hearing the thwack of the arrow hitting their mark was not something Gojo would have thought to see. Hardly anyone uses archery and Maki is out for the afternoon, so it came at a surprise when he saw pink hair with a bow and arrow ready to fire. Before he could call out the boys name, he noticed a minute difference.

His wrists had tattoos, and his hair was slicked back.

Sukuna.

"And what are you doing in this fine afternoon?"Gojo asked, normally the curse would not be out in the open. Usually staying within Yuji and make a comment here and there.

"Sorcerer" Sukuna greeted releasing the arrow.

Hitting his mark he got another arrow ready, "I was bored out of my mind and wanted to get out for a bit. Don't worry he's done his homework and studied for tomorrow's test" he released and the arrow hit its mark.

"So considerate" Gojo mused, still coming to terms that the King of Curses was out in the open and behaving. He watched Sukuna walk towards the target to retrieve the arrows. "Ask" Sukuna didn't bother to look at him, he knew the Six Eye wielder had question about him, about his change of the future.

"Why are you doing this Sukuna?"

"I have my reasons. Japan is not as bad as it used to be in my time" he readied his bow, three arrows this time, "wanted to see how today's world is."

"There has to be more than that"

"Nope" Thwak thwak thwak.

The King of Curses rolled his eyes, of course the Gojo bastard wouldn't let this go. He released another arrow with a huff.

"I just wanted to shove it to the higher-ups" he looked at Gojo, "there might be something we can actually agree on, their method of doing things are completely outdated." He moved to the other targets, Gojo following behind. So far nobody was near them, but he didn't want to break whatever made Sukuna behave today.

"If I make the brat live longer than they want they'll be annoyed as hell with no choice but to let him be" Sukuna grinned. Not when they have Gojo Satorou in the way, if they managed to get passed him then they had Ryoumen Sukuna, and he will not let his vessel die a third time. That should be when the brat was old.

Gojo couldn't help but pry "is that why you forced your other fingers to lay low?" That could explain why they were having a hard time to finding the last five fingers, ever since they attempted to seal Gojo, the fingers have been hard to find, and Sukuna was not in a hurry to find them.

"One of them" the cursed spirit had enough of archery for the day, he retrieved his arrows and inspected them. There were a couple that felt wrong, "this one needs to be replaced" he put the arrow aside and got another to inspect.

"I want to learn this era" he didn't look up from his inspection, "the brat showed me his memories, while some things stayed the same" he paused to look at Gojo, then turning back to his work "other's have changed, those are worth learning about, so for now I'll behave" he turned and aimed towards Gojo. Letting his arrow go, Gojo didn't bother to move, his Infinity would block the attack.

Sukuna aimed towards Gojo.

Never at Gojo.

Instead he aimed at the small curse at the entrance of the training field. Gojo knew what Sukuna meant, and for once he will take it seriously. The King of Curses truly lived on his whim.

"What about Yuji?" Gojo asked, worried about his student. He adored that boy, along with the other first years.

"He'll be fine so long as your superiors don't do anything stupid" he retrieved the arrow and shook the remnants of the curse off.

"Look, I know you don't believe me, and you want to wing things regarding the fingers. And I'm the one thing standing in your way to retrieve the rest of them. If you could, you would just give them all to the brat to absorb and do whatever you have been planning all along." Gojo tilted his head, so he figured it out huh?

Still Sukuna didn't let him answer, "You can have your battle whenever you want. I'm not at my full strength but I can still give you some trouble. This one needs to be replaced too" he handed the other arrow.

Gojo looked at the arrow in his hand then at the curse. He would take up on the offer, but the curse was right, there was a test tomorrow and he wanted Yuji to do his best.

"Make sure he does his best tomorrow" he left the curse to finish for the day.

"Yeah, yeah" the curse waved him off, and began to unstring the bow, "promise me one thing, sorcerer" he called out. Gojo looked behind him, "promise me that the brat lives as long as possible" Sukuna puts the bow in it's place and the arrows in the quiver.

"It's an honor for Ryumen Sukuna to ask me to care for his vessel" Gojo in his part bows, "I promise to prolong his life for as long as possible". He didn't wan to call Yuji 'vessel', but who knew who was hearing, for all that he knows it could be the superiors or the enemy overhearing them.

"Not good enough, nobody's hearing us, sorcerer" the King of Curses snarled.

"I promise to keep Itadori Yuji alive, I'll even give up my life if it means he will continue living" Gojo didn't dare to look at the curse, not sure what he meant on 'good enough'.

"Better" he began walking out the practice field, "now take the brat and go home to your husband, I'm sure he's worried for you two" he placed a hand on Gojo's shoulder. If he was surprised that he could touch the man, he didn't show it. Either a show of trust on his end, or he thought of the brat approaching, either way he didn't do more than give a squeeze.

A token of peace on his part.

"Gojo-sensei!" A younger more vibrant voice was heard.

"Yuji, ready to head home for the night?" He smiled at the boy, "Nanami made your favorite." The boy in his part gave a bright smile and nodded.

"Gojo-sensei I still have some questions regarding tomorrow's test, can we go over them?" Yuji looked at his sensei, and the man couldn't help but nod at the boy. Maybe not him, but Nanami wouldn't mind helping. It's been a while since the boy was over so he would want to spend some time with him.

Telling the boy to get his things while he waited at the front gates, he thanked Sukuna for the opportunity to search longer. He wasn't a fool, Sukuna would get bored soon and would want to get all his fingers soon, but for now he'll take advantage of the peace he is offering.

For now they'll enjoy, and tomorrow they search.
