Andy looked at the shape of the nicely, wrapped present and had a feeling of what it could be. He took a deep breath and went for it. Once he tore off enough to see what was inside, he felt disappointed. He was happy to finally get a Buddi doll but it's been out for a year now and it was getting old. As a matter of fact, the new Buddi doll was coming out pretty soon and everyone knew it. So his early birthday present was bittersweet. Instead of Andy getting overjoyed, he slumped back onto the couch and sighed.
Hearing Andy sigh was a disappointment in itself for Karen. Did he know what she had to go through just to get him that Buddi doll? Sure it wasn't the lastest and greatest doll ever but at least Karen thought about her son! So that was just an insult! "Did you just sign? Isn't that the Buddi doll you've been obsessed with?"
"I know but...this is kind of for little kids now. It came out last year and the Buddi 2 doll is on its way out." Andy looked at his mom.
Karen couldn't believe what she was hearing. She felt like screaming at him for all the hard way she'd been doing! Plus Karen told Andy that she was already working doubles in order to get him a new hearing aid. So was Andy being a spoiled, ungrateful little kid?
But to be fair, Andy did say that he was fine with the one he already had.
"Ok, I know it's kind of stupid but I thought it'd be funny." Karen smiled at him.
Andy stared at the Buddi doll.
"Come on! Let's try it!" Karen hit him on the shoulder with her head.
