Disclaimer: I don't own Harry Potter.

"Ha!" Malfoy cackled, lowering his wand as a smug smirk crossed his face over the spell he'd just cast. "Just look at the famous Harry Potter now!"

"What have you done?" Hermione cried when she saw what had happened to her friend.

Ron glared at the trio's rival. "You'll pay for that, Malfoy!"

"Oh you want some too, do you, Weasel?" Mayfly raised his wand back up to point it at the redhead. "That can happen to you!"

"Oi! Wha' are yer lot up ter ov'r there?!"

Malfoy jumped upon hearing a familiar stern voice yelling towards himself, Crabbe and Goyle. He turned around to see Hagrid come running in their direction. The enormous half-giant was looking very stern and ready to reprimand them.

"Oh shoot! It's that humongous oaf!" Malfoy pocketed his wand and began to race away. "Crabbe! Goyle! Make haste, you fools!"

The three Slytherin students darted away away before Hagrid could reach them. The large groundskeeper of Hogwarts stopped before Ron and Hermione, looking towards his young friends with concern. "Yer a'right?"

Hermione shook her head. "Malfoy was giving us trouble again. He was being his usual unpleasant self - and then something terrible happened-"

"Don' tell me yer tried ter curse 'I'm with slugs again?!" Hagrid exclaimed, turning to Ron.

"No, Hagrid." Ron answered glumly. "It was Harry who got cursed this time."

Hagrid glanced around, trying to find the third member of the trio who he couldn't is anywhere. "Where is Harry?"

"I'm here, Hagrid?"

Hearing the voice of the boy who lived, Hagrid turned towards where he had heard it - before his hairy gaze filled with shock.

Sitting on the grass in between Ron and Hermione - was a tiny lizard. It was peering up at Hagrid through a pair of glasses in front of its beady eyes while on its green forehead was a lightning-shaped scar.

"Blimey!" Hagrid cried. "Is that' yer, Harry?"

"No! It's the rare talking, glasses-wearing scarred lizard," the reptile answered. "I'm sure even a passionate monster breeder like you, Hagrid, has never come across that before."

Still stumped, Hagrid bent down over the ground, lowering a large hand to allow Harry to climb into his palm on all fours. "So Malfoy turned yer into a lizard, did he?"

"Yes, and if you hadn't shown up, Hagrid," Hermione said, "it seems like he would've turned Ron into a weasel!"

"I wouldn't have let him do that to me!" Ron scoffed. "I'd have cursed that git before he could do anything to me!"

Harry rolled his reptilian eyes, recalling how Ron's attempts to punish Malfoy always backfired on him. "This is so degrading!"

"Cheer up, Harry," Ron said. "Least you haven't got the taste of slugs like I had to go through!"

"No, but I'm getting a craving for flies!" Intense panic began to take over the tiny green creature. "Somebody change me back to normal! Quick! I'm feeling the urge to start eating insects!"

"Okay, calm down, Harry! Don' worry' We'll get yer ter the hospital wing so Madam Promfrey can put yer righ'! Dunno wha' she's gonna say when she hears this 'appened because yer three were fightin' with Malfoy again!"

"I don't care!" Harry shouted. "I just wanna be back to my human self again before I start shooting my tongue out at passing bugs!"

"An' yer will, Harry, yer will! Bu' before we take yer to be out back ter normal, there's somethin' I gotta tell yer first!"

"What, Hagrid?!" Harry huffed impatiently. "This better be important!"

Still holding the famous wizard-turned-lizard in his large hand, Hagrid leaned over him. In a low solemn voice, he let out the comment he had to say - which resulted in a giggle from Hermione, a chuckle out of Ron - and an unamused glare on the reptile's scaly face.

"Yer a lizard, Harry!"

The end.
