Ginny Weasley looked at the figure of Hermione Granger as she lost her consciousness completely. Meanwhile the rest of DA watched shocked as one of their comrade in arms was flunged into the veil by a curse from Rookwood. The war had not stopped completely after the death of Lord Voldemort instead more chaos had began as the dark side did everything without a leader now. Dark Wizards randomly killing the aurors as they tried out for more power. Today was also the same case as Rookwood had captured Harry Potter and had killed him before the arrival of DA.
There was a time where it would have pushed Ginny to her limits and broke her but it was not the same case now. She was simply a friend now to Harry, she couldn't go back to him after the war. Harry had changed much, he had become edgier and more reclusive and broody. Infact, he started to have temper issues, Ginny had grown to become an independent girl in herself and she wasn't going to take crap from anyone even if the person was Harry Potter.
They had called quits to their relationship and it had been in her efforts to save Hermione that she was blasted away to veil.
Darkness, it was all that Ginerva Weasley knew as she lost her consciousness.
She woke up again but this time to a bright light on her face. She felt the sand on her legs and was surprised that she could feel her arms and legs. Didn't passing through the veil killed people? She thought inwardly as she tried to stand up.
She had very little energy in her body and she would have falled off if not for the trunk of tree she supported herself with to stand.
She took deep breaths and was surprised that she felt her wand in her holster, the holster in question gifted by Bill Weasley; her eldest brother and also the coolest.
She looked at the small town which she could see in the distance and summoned her energy as she willed her entire body to walk.
TEN DAYS LATER...
A girl of eighteen who was wearing pale blue dress wiped the counter of the sports shop. She had her hair tied in a bun and was perhaps the only reason why men of the town were paying sudden more visits to the shop in question.
Ginny Weasley sighed as she wiped the counter, she could easily do so with a single spell but she wanted to remain as vague as possible.
The reason for it was the scenario, she had found herself in. Of all the possible things, why did she had to be sent to past in the year 1977 and she didn't had any idea on what to do. Many would expect her to go to Dumbledore and blabber everything she knew, but she didn't wanted that. She had no idea where Harry, Ron and Hermione had went to and what they had done. She only knew little enough that whatever they did, it was for war efforts.
Moreover she knew enough about butterfly effect having heard of it from Hermione when she was explaining her about the time magic. It had been a little girl discussion which had turned to an explaination with Hermione.
What if she made things worse? She could probably end up making things worse than they already were for the First Wizarding War. It could end up even in her not being born or the killing of whole Weasley family. She had considered the matter a lot but nonetheless agreed to keep things the same as they were in the original timeline. There was a huge risk that she could be the reason why her friends were not born later. She didn't wanted that. As much as she wanted to save lives, the Wizarding War should go on the same.
She could make things more complicated and her actions may even lead to things become more tense or dangerous than before. The dark side could win simply due to some mishap caused on her part and she already had seen enough sufferings. A part of her wasn't ready to take the risks and maybe become the reason why the light side fell. She could fight for the light and probably try to save lives but even then she wasn't so sure of it. The first wizarding war was heavily favoured for the dark side, they only lost due to sudden fall of Dark Lord Voldemort in the hands of baby Harry Potter on the Halloween night. The Ministry was on the verge of collapsing and the aurors and order members were slaughtered alike. The dark side had skilled members in their arsenal among the favour of numbers too.
Call it cowardly but she wasn't ready to take action and play hero. War and bloodshed had changed her, she had seen the corpses of her friends, family alike and she couldn't bear to take the wand and once again join the battlefield. She didn't wanted to fight, simply live in peace or perhaps play quidditch.
"You did a great job as usual Ginny" Wince complimented her arriving from the backside.
Ginny nodded and went to the other section, Wince was a middle aged man and she knew enough about him in this 10 days to make her opinion. The man had a crush on him as she saw him eyeing her sometimes. The man was married with two kids but Ginny nonetheless had seen the looks aimed at her by him sometimes.
She had seen enough of these looks aimed at her in Hogwarts, she had grown to quite a beauty. Her figure had become more appealing with age and she was pretty. She had found that her facial features had changed after arriving here, her face was more refined than before making her look even more beautiful than before. She was never a vain girl but she nonetheless was more happy about the development. Her hair had become a darker shade of red and her height had increased by 3 inches. It was quite a shock for her but one which was accepted. Her chest had developed nicely till now and her legs were looking more slender. She definitely could see herself being labelled as a bombshell.
She honestly used those feelings of Wince to have a nice pay and the apartment on the backside of the shop. The man might lust after her but he was a little afraid to make a move and never acted anything strange. Ginny found that okay, she still was on guard nonetheless.
She remembered her life and sighed thinking of the things which she no longer was privy to. Having quirky conversations with Luna, listening to Hermione's debates etc. Even the nagging of her mom was craved by her a little.
She surely needed to do something and keep herself sane.
