Violet
I woke up in Evan's bed.
I walked to his Gym room.
I was watching Evan work out.
I leaned against the wall.
I chuckled softly when he finally noticed me.
"Good morning." Evan greeted.
"Morning."
"Sleep okay?"
"I did. You?"
"Like a log."
I leaned on the sink.
"Out all night."
"Hmm."
We kissed.
"You didn't have any weird dreams or anything or, like, wake up at all?"
He shook his head.
"No. I mean, none that I can think of."
"Hmm."
"I mean, there was a little thing of asking you to marry me, but, uh... Aside from that, no, nothing." Evan answered.
"Don't mess with me like that."
I pushed his shoulder.
"No?"
Evan came around the balance beam.
"How should I mess with you? Like this?"
I laughed as he lifted me up onto the balace beam
"Huh? That better?"
We kissed.
"I meant it."
I was confused.
"I want to marry you."
"Why?"
"Because I want to spend every second of the rest of my life with you."
Evan looked down.
"I don't expect you to say "Yes" right away."
I removed my arms from around his neck.
"I know I'm complicated."
"Just a little bit."
I chuckled.
