Violet
I was on the phone with Evan's Sister, Mia.
"You have an assistant? I thought you were an assistant."
Sylvie had taken off to Portland to be with Casey.
So, I was the Paramedic-in-charge.
I chuckled.
I sighed.
"It's a long story." I explained.
"What's going on?" I questioned.
"What do I give Evan for his Birthday?" She questioned.
"The boy already has everything except a sense of humor."
"Uh... His wh- His Birthday? When is his Birthday?"
"Sunday." Mia answered.
"He didn't tell you?" She questioned.
"He is so weird. Mom and Dad are throwing him a party." Mia pointed out.
"Didn't they just have a party?" I questioned.
"Jeez, you're as bad as he is. That was a Ball. This is just family, friends, music, Fireworks. No biggie." She answered.
"Hey. What about a tie?" Mia questioned.
"Uh... Uh... Evan has a lot of ties."
"Socks, suspenders- Throw me a bone here?"
The line beeped.
"Um... Oh, God. Mia, I got to go."
"Okay, okay. But Sunday or I'll hunt you down myself. Bye."
She hung up.
Mia
"Ooh. Perfect." I said, spotting a tie.
